American Werewolves in London: Part 6

“This won’t keep any of them out.” Tina said at last. She tapped the window behind her, and glanced above her at the ceiling.

“Any of whom?” Helena searched for a tshirt, finding herself chilled as she snapped out of her reverie.

Tina sighed, looking around again for something. “Where’s that friend of yours?” She asked Bette. Tina turned her eyes to the ceiling as Bette and Helena tried to dress quickly.  She smiled as she caught glimpses of them both.  Thankfully, she had fed already tonite, but it wasn’t blood she wanted from these mortal beauties.

“I dunno.” Bette mumbled. “Jenny just comes and goes.”

“Well we need her, unfortunately. She’s been trying to sabotage my efforts, but I need to know everything that she knows. There are people at the very top, searching for you.  And the bloodline has been very difficult to sever.” Tina walked as she talked, checking the hinges on doors, and the strength of the glass on Helena’s windows. She clicked her tongue in a disapproving manner. “Werewolves…girls…” She snapped her fingers, drawing Bette and Helena out of their mesmerized stare-down of her.  “do not need to be invited in.  And you…” She pointed at Bette. “you need to be put on a leash, for at least a few days of the month.”

“I beg your pardon!” Bette shouted angrily. “A leash! A fucking leash! Some white woman comes in here and tells me I need a leash…that’s fucked up!”

“Shhhh, darling, she didn’t mean it that way.” Helena’s hand ran lightly up and down Bette’s arm. “She’s just part of this whole delusion thing…werewolves indeed…we’re just dreaming.” And as she said that, Tina moved a split second later, from across the room to directly in front of Helena.

“Is this a delusion?” She whispered dangerously. Her eyes were like liquid fire, pulling Helena in deeper and deeper. Just as her mouth pressed to Helena’s neck, her lips pulling away, the points of her teeth pressing ever so slightly, Bette wrenched her away.

“Oooo, aren’t you a strong one?” Jenny had reappeared. “I’m sorry, I didn’t want to miss this. A vampire and a werewolf…which will it be, Helena? Which would you prefer? If you’re a werewolf, you can still walk in the sun.  But if you prefer to remain hairless and infinitely strong…go with Tina…either way, I hope Bette didn’t bite too hard last night.” She laughed, a loud, wheezy guffaw. When she coughed, a cloud of dust came out.

    1. I wonder which particular Vatican conspiracy Jenny was referring to. Like ashtuck, I can’t help laughing at crumbling Jenny and the other three main players in your loopy, brilliant saga. The X-Files-like conspiracy, with werewolves infiltrating the royal family and British cabinet, is a wonderful touch.

    2. Loved the pas de deux between Jenny and Tina. Not surprised to hear there are vampires in the Vatican, seems them been sucking the lifeblood out of people for millenia. And the werewolves in the royal family is no surprise either. I seem to recall that the Bowes-Lyons family, of which the recently deceased Queen Mother was a member, were supposed to have locked up an excessively hairy relative in the attic, can’t recall if that was supposed to be the 18th or 19th century. Good thing ol’ Lillibet (no, not Lillibette) has so many ladies in waiting. I’m sure many hands make light work of full body depilitation.

    3. Oh MY GOD !!! what did you do to the Royal Family ? LMAOOOOOO We already knew (?!) they hosted Jack the Ripper, but werewolves ?…… as for the Cabinet, I always suspected Maggie Thatcher of being a blood-sucker, but who else ?? you’re just having me laughing so hard I can hardly type…

    4. Ah well, those Brits, you know how they are, keeping their relatives locked up in attics and all. I had heard a theory that Jack the Ripper was a minor member of the royal family, so guess they could have a Jack the Nipper too!

    5. Should you laugh at a dead jenny, a vampire tina, a werewolf bette, and a clueless helena? Well, I am…I can’t believe Tina beat Jenny with her own arm…thats really really funny…pps

    6. LOL it was freaking amazing… I loved the fact that Tina had to be invited in… I never thought that a werewolf, a vampire and a dead Jenny could be so funny!!! PPS!!
