    The brunette hangs up and purses her lips.

    LA Street, night:  Tina is driving home after work when she stops at a red light and places a hand around her neck, massaging it. She inadvertently touches her earring and stops for a moment, lost in thought, while swirling it between her fingers. She closes her eyes, a smile appearing on her face.

    Flashback: [Bette looks at Tina. She smiles as she reaches up to touch Tina’s hair.]

    Bette: (smiling) Oh. You’ve lost your earring in your hair, here.

    [Bette gets the earring out of Tina’s hair and holds it on her palm for Tina to take.]

    Tina: (smiling) Thank you.

    [Bette smiles sweetly at her as Tina takes the earring. They look back at the picture.]

    The loud sound of a car horn is heard. Tina opens her eyes startled and realizes that the light is green. She sighs and drives away.

    Bette Porter Gallery, morning:  Bette is working in her office when the phone rings.

    James – Bette … David Ross on line 1. Are you available?

    Bette – Of course!

    She answers the phone with a smile.

    Bette – David! Long time no see!

    David – Oh my lovely … I missed you!

    The slightly overweight man in his sixties grins, his round happy face even more red and full of life.

    Bette – I missed you too! How was Rome? What did you find for us?

    David – Oh, amazing things! A lot of new, vibrant artists! We need to do lunch this week!

    Bette – I am all yours, anytime!

    David – I wish!

    Bette chuckles.

    Bette – You, dirty old man!

    David laughs loudly.

    2. I like this story. Tina is beginning to see her dissatisfaction with Eric. And Meg? She wants Tina to marry someone to be friends with her husband so she can have time to talk to her BFF? That’s a bit selfish isn’t it? Hopefully Meg is a better friend than that. Well can’t wait to see how this acquaintance between Bette and Tina goes.

      Wonderful story, and a very nice chapter.

      I see how hard Tina is fighting her homosexuality and attraction for Bette, that happens many, many times, and can go good for open-mind people who decide to live their lives and be honest with themselves without hiding from the rest of the world, and it can go bad for the ones who decide to live a double life or even worst to fight the ones that had the strength of coming-out.

      Anyway, Tina is in a ‘spiral collision course’ with her destiny, the future love of her life.

      Nice move Bette, so smart to invite Eric and Tina, Bette is cornering the blonde, and let’s see or rather, read what you will write in your next chapter.
