    Alice turns to the café owner.  

    Alice – You know what? I’m hungry! What should I eat, Marina?

    Marina and Alice discuss the menu options while Bette remains quiet, looking thoughtful, with a slight smile on her face.

    Tina’s apartment, evening: Tina opens the door wearing a sexy black mini skirt and spaghetti strap top ensemble, and smiles.

    Tina – Hi!

    Eric comes in with a grin and checks her out.

    Eric – You look yummy …

    He wraps an arm around her waist and kisses her lightly.

    Eric – Ready to go?

    She wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him passionately.

    Eric – Mmmm …

    He closes the door behind him with his foot. While kissing, she walks backward to the hallway, pulling him into her bedroom.

    Bette’s backyard, night: Bette is sitting in a lounge chair by the pool drinking a beer.

    Flashback, Bette Porter Gallery, morning: Bette enters her office, dropping her purse and briefcase on her modern desk and sitting in her elegant chair. A few seconds later, James comes in.

    James – Morning, Bette!

    Bette – Morning, James!

    She smiles.

    Bette – I see that the cleaning people did a great job!

    James – Yeah! They came in at 7 am and were finished in no time.

    Bette – Good!

    James – Oh … and they found this.

    He places an earring on her desk. Her eyes widen as she picks it up.

    Bette – Where did they find it?

    She gazes at the pretty piece of jewelry in her hand.

    James – The lady said that it was in one of the chairs … at the dining table?

    Bette – Huh!

    James – Do you want me to find the owner?

    Bette – It’s not necessary. Thanks!

    James – OK.

    He leaves and she continues to gaze at the earring, a grin forming on her face.

    Bette – I’m sure she will call …

    The brunette smiles wistfully and takes a sip of her beer. Why did she come to The Planet? Could she just be passing by and saw the place? A coincidence? She shakes her head. No! Too many coincidences. She had seen something in the blonde’s eyes … Maybe she was not wrong after all!

    2. I like this story. Tina is beginning to see her dissatisfaction with Eric. And Meg? She wants Tina to marry someone to be friends with her husband so she can have time to talk to her BFF? That’s a bit selfish isn’t it? Hopefully Meg is a better friend than that. Well can’t wait to see how this acquaintance between Bette and Tina goes.

      Wonderful story, and a very nice chapter.

      I see how hard Tina is fighting her homosexuality and attraction for Bette, that happens many, many times, and can go good for open-mind people who decide to live their lives and be honest with themselves without hiding from the rest of the world, and it can go bad for the ones who decide to live a double life or even worst to fight the ones that had the strength of coming-out.

      Anyway, Tina is in a ‘spiral collision course’ with her destiny, the future love of her life.

      Nice move Bette, so smart to invite Eric and Tina, Bette is cornering the blonde, and let’s see or rather, read what you will write in your next chapter.
