    B&T reconnect: A few hours before the Gallery opening

     

     

    Bette loved it when Tina would do this but typically Tina would kiss Bette’s ring finger only this time Tina kissed Bette’s bare finger. Bette kept her ring in her jewelry box—for the longest time she wore the ring on a chain around her neck, but after a while the girls convinced her that she needed to move on and in order to do that she had to stop wearing the ring. So she put it in a jewelry box that used to belong to Tina. It was a small sterling silver antique jewelry box that Bette bought for Tina on a business trip to Paris. Her commitment ring from Tina had rested within the plush velvet box safe and secure always close to Bette. On an occasion Bette would pull it out of its velvety confines and hold it in her hand. This usually only happened when Bette longed for the old days when she still had her soulmate with her or after a certain reoccurring dream that always seemed to derail her. She would often wonder what Tina was up to and if she was happy.

     

     

    So with a small voice Bette asked her question. “T do you still have your ring?”

     

     

    Tina knew that her unconscious habit of kissing Bette’s ring finger brought up a sensitive topic that had not been addressed yet. Tina closed her eyes at the soft voice tinged in regret that was emitted from her partner’s lips.

     

     

    Tina turned in Bette’s arms so she could look at the woman she loved. Tina’s brow was furrowed as she nervously bit her lip.

     

     

    Bette read Tina’s body language and mistook Tina’s nervous demeanor to mean that she no longer had her ring. “It’s perfectly understandable that you wouldn’t want your ring after the way we ended things…I mean I would understand why you wouldn’t want to keep it as a remainder of what I did.”

     

     

    Tina put her finger on Bette’s lips. When Bette stopped talking Tina gently raised Bette’s chin up so they could look into each others eyes. “It’s true that I don’t have my ring anymore but I gave it to someone special to both of us.”

    4. Niiiiiiice!!!! Gosh, what a dress Tina must be wearing! The stories with the ring and the suit are so cute! Eli is such a sweetheart. And yeah, Eli is gonna be so happy to catch up with his uncle and grandparents while B&T… well, catch up with each other! I’m so waiting for Alice’s smartass comments about Tina’s dress… Hehehe! I wonder how Jane and Tyler would feel if Bette and Tina use Oliver’s sperm for the new baby, especially if Bette carries the baby. That would be awesome for B&T&E but also for the extended biological father’s family
