Tina gave Bette’s hand a reassuring squeeze keeping Bette’s hand in hers as she leaned over to hug Jane and then Tyler.
“Jane, Tyler it’s so good to see you Eli was so disappointed to hear that he missed you while you were in New York.”
Tyler gave Eli’s shoulder a squeeze as he looked down at his grandson. “Well imagine our surprise when we arrive in New York and find that the two reasons we made the trip down there were both currently vacationing in California. Lucky for us we knew someone who lived in the city.”
Oliver was smiling broadly at his father’s good natured ribbing. “Well I’m glad that I could give you two a place to crash even if I was just a poor substitute for your grandson and Tina never mind the fact that I’m your first born son.”
Oliver leaned over to hug Tina. “It’s good to see you and you look fantastic but I’m sure that you’ve been told that a few times already.”
“It’s good to see you Oliver…I like you all to meet Bette Porter my…” Tina looked back at Bette momentarily searching for the appropriate term to use to represent their current relationship she smiled at Bette before turning back to the people who she had come to regard as her family. “…well I consider her my partner but by years end I’m hoping she’ll be my wife.”
Tina’s response earned her one of Bette’s biggest smiles. Jane and Tyler smiled at the look of love that was emanating from both women. As far as they were concerned Tina was their daughter and to see her so completely in love and to see that love so obviously returned by the beautiful brunette warmed their hearts.
Jane was the first to respond by hugging Bette. “It’s so good to finally meet you Bette I’ve heard such great things about you.”
For some odd reason Bette felt like she was meeting Tina’s parents again. “It’s an honor to meet you Mrs. Hadley.”
Jane smiled sweetly at Bette. “Please call me Jane there’s no need to use formalities with us especially if we’re going to be family. Perhaps sometime soon we can get to know each other better.”
Bette felt calmed with Jane’s composed demeanor. “Thank you I’d like that very much Jane.”
“In the meantime I’d like you to meet my husband Tyler Hadley.”
Bette put her hand out to shake Tyler’s hand. Bette reverted back to formalities. “It’s good to meet you sir.”
“I want to thank you for inviting us it was very generous of you to extend the invitation.”
“It was my pleasure I’d do almost anything to make Tina and Eli happy.”
Tyler was often protective of Tina and Eli but the minute he saw Bette and Tina together he knew that there was no need to be. The way Bette looked at Tina told him everything he needed to know.
Tyler’s eyes softened a bit. “I believe you would. I’m happy to see that you and Tina have found each other again.”
“I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have my family. These past few weeks have meant more to me than the past ten years combined.”
Tina placed a soft kiss on Bette’s hand after her partners loving words. “Our family wasn’t complete until you came back into our lives babe.”
All three Hadley’s were looking on at the loving couple convinced that the two beautiful women belonged with each other and certain that they would appreciate each other so much more now that they knew how empty they felt without each others love.

Niiiiiiice!!!! Gosh, what a dress Tina must be wearing! The stories with the ring and the suit are so cute! Eli is such a sweetheart. Do you think that I can be some lost relative and join their little family. I wonder how Jane and Tyler would feel if Bette and Tina use Oliver’s sperm for the new baby, especially if Bette carries the baby. That would be awesome for B&T&E but also for the extended biological father’s family
