    B&T reconnect 9 years after season 1: Bette spends more time with Tina and Eli

     

    Bette was walking back to the table and heard Tina. "For the record I don’t want to hear about the other women." Bette said pouting a little before sitting back down.

     

    "Everything settled?" Tina said as she turned towards Bette.

     

    "Yeah…" Bette put Tina’s hand between both of hers. "I just explained to her that I was having lunch with the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever been with and that any advances she tried would not be welcomed."

     

    "You said that?" Tina had a little smirk.

     

    "Yeah. She looked over and saw you and she understood completely. She even joked about coming over to hit on you herself."

     

    Tina’s eyebrows went up after hearing that. "Really."

     

    "At that point I told her those were fighting words and she took the hint and left with her lunch."

     

    Tina was laughing at Bette’s response. "You didn’t say that."

     

    "I did. If you don’t believe me I can always call her back"

     

    "Don’t you dare."

     

    Bette paused before going on. She knew this could have turned out differently. "Sorry about that."

     

    "Babe you had no control over her coming here for lunch. Don’t worry about it."

     

    "I know but if our roles were reversed I’d probably tell her to get lost." Bette was gently stroking Tina’s hand.

     

    Tina smiled at how cute Bette was acting. "The thought crossed my mind, but I decided to let you handle it."

     

    Bette looked back up into Tina’s eyes. "Thank you for trusting me."

     

    "You’d do the same for me, even if your first instinct is to tell her to get lost?"

     

    Bette grumbled a ‘maybe’ back at Tina.

     

    After the mini-crisis was averted Eli came back with his smoothie and they got up to leave. Bette wanted to go with them, but if she wanted to have Thursday off to go to the doctors with Eli she’d have to go back to work. Tina and Eli understood but arranged for a phone call for later tonight. Bette walked Tina to her car. Eli jumped in and buckled up as Bette and Tina said there good-byes. Tina softly kissed Bette on her cheek before getting in her car and driving back to the house.

     

    Bette had a huge smile as she walked back to her car. She couldn’t wait to take Tina out tomorrow.

    5. Great chapter, Tori. Do so love this story. So happy that you show the love between them and with Eli as well. They are taking things slowly soas to cement their relationship for the future with no problems. I want Bette to ask Tina about Eli’s name and surely she did that on purpose, at least I hope. Bette showing her jealousy is kinda sweet and endearing. No one had better mess with her Tina. Great.

    10. This is a delightful story. I love it b/c it shows the possibilities if two people in love are willing to bridge the hurt and forgive the unforgivable then they can prevail. It also shows how energy and life consuming hatred can be. Carpe diem!

    14. I am so addicted to your story, I pulled it up this morning b4 work and now I’m playing hookey just so I could read it; good thing work is only 5 minutes away! I live on campus..hanging out for the date and if B’s gonna have more galleries then she can just have one in NY to give her reason to be with Tina and Eli…and James can run the LA one…or Tina can relocate her job somehow to LA…everythings fixable, when you’re that much in love. Thanks for the extra long post. I will hang at out for the next one.
