    Bette and Tina in Raleigh North Carolina, getting ready for the tournament.

    Oh. Tina replies, looking down. She sits in silence a few moments.

    Tina, you okay? Please talk to me. Bette says reaching out her hand and places it on top of Tinas.

    Im okay, Ill be fine. If I see her, then Ill see her, right? Tina says giving Bette a little smile.

    Right. Bette says smiling back. Well, come on, lets get out of here. Bette says, she walks over to the counter and pays fro lunch. They then leave.

    Would you drive? Tina asks.

    Sure. Bette replies.

     

    The next morning:

    Bette wakes up first, she slips into the shower. She needed to be fully awake today. This was the most important day. If she didnt play well today, she wouldnt be able to play the rest of the weekend, and then she had to wait three weeks for the next qualifying tournament. And then Tina had started her new job.

    When she got out of the shower, Tina was awake, she was flipping through the channels on the TV.

    Anything good on? Bette asks as she comes out of the bathroom.

    No, not really. Tina says and turns around and walks over to Bette.

    Good morning. Bette says and leans in for a kiss.

    Mmmm, good morning. Tina replies. Ill jump in the shower I think. Tina says.

    Yeah, you do that, and well go down and eat breakfast. Bette says and smiles.

    Tina went into the bathroom and took the shower.

    Bette dressed herself in white golf slacks, and a red sleeveless pique shirt with white stripes

    Tina came out of the bathroom wrapped in her towel. 

    Bette was sitting on the sofa, reading over the local course rules.

    Tina let the towel fall to the floor, revealing her beautiful naked body. Bette gasped at the sight. Tina smiled at Bette. She then put on her blue bra. Then her jeans and a red tank top.

    She walks over to the door and grabs her sneakers and walks back to the sofa and takes a seat next to Bette. She put on her shoes.

    Bette move her arm onto Tinas back.

    Im so happy youre here with me. She says.

    I wouldnt want to be anywhere else. Tina replies and leans in for a kiss.

    Lets go. Bette says and stands up and reaches out for Tina. She grabs the hand.

    They walk down to the hotel restaurant which in the mornings holds the breakfast for the hotels guests. Bette grabbed some cereal and a banana. Tina took a few slices of bread with cheese. And a glass of milk. They took a seat by the window. The clock is 7, and through the window they see Lara arrive.

    They eat their breakfast and goes back to the room, to relax a little before they have to be at the course.

    Bette checks her clubs, that they are all there and in order. She checks for pegs and gloves and other necessities that she will need. She got it all. She takes her golf shoes over to the sofa, brings out her shoe shining kit. And cleans them and makes them look as good as new.

    Then there is a knock on the door. Tina walks over and opens it.

    Hi, Lara, come in. Tina says and moves away from the door.

    Hi, we saw you come in earlier. We were eating breakfast. Bette says and smiles.

    Yeah, its way to early for me Thank God youre not Teeing out before 11. Lara says and takes a seat next to Bette.

    So, are you ready for this? Lara asks Bette.

    No. Bette says and laughs. As ready as I can get, I guess. She continues.

    I think you will do great. The last rounds you have done at home have been almost TV-golf… Lara says and smiles.

    Yeah, well, I didnt have the nerves then, I do now. Bette says. Tina walks over and takes a seat next to Bette on the other side.

    Ill be following you around. When you get too nervous, just look to the crowd, Ill be there and cheering you on. Tina says and kisses Bette on the cheek.

    3. Dang. I wish they really were in Raleigh. Too bad I didn’t know you were using this city, Lauren. I could have given you real names for restaurants, hotels, golf courses and the like. Thanks for a great story here.

      Well, Marsupial’s idea is temptating, I must say. I also think that Lara shouldn’t tell so much details to Sarah : that had to be Tina’s choice indeed. However, I like Lara’s character very much so I’d be indulgent ! (lol)
      Now I’m waiting for the answer to the big current question : will Tina see her sister and/or parents soon ? I wonder…

    7. It’s nice how Tina is working alongside the tournament – now she and Bette won’t be apart. It still feels as if Lara is up to something concerning Bette. Maybe I’m just paranoid…LOL. Nice chapter Lauren

    10. i hope Bette gets her qualification and i´m with Jwet about meet the parents after the qualifier cuz will be very dificult to Tina and to Bette cuz she has a lot in her mind and she has to be support to Tina as well… i was wondering if Tina will met some older gf..lol..i love Bette jealous..lol..do i have to say i love it?..i do..thanks Lauren

    12. Thanks for the post. I think that Lara over stepped by telling Tina’s sister that she is with Bette and in N.C. Tina should have been allowed to decide if she wanted to contact her family while she is in town. She could just told her that she was very happy and a successful photographer. I also hope that Sarah waits until after Bette is finished playing before she contacts Tina.
