    Author Notes:

    Tina talks to the boys and TIna nad Noah goes to the hospital.

    “Love you too honey.” Bette replies and then Julia leaves the room.

    Tina and Noah is seated in the waiting room. Noah sits on Tina’s lap.

    “Hey, she’s all yours. I’ll be back tomorrow.” Julia says.

    “Okay. Thanks for staying with her.” Tina says and stands up and give Julia a hug.

    “I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.” Julia says and smiles.

    Tina smiles back. They say goodbye and Tina takes Noah’s hand and they walk into Bette’s room. She sees Bette listening on the sounds.

    “Hey baby.” She says.

    “Hey babe.” Tina replies. “I have someone with me.” Tina says.

    “You do? Who?” Bette asks.

    Tina nods to Noah to get him to say hi.

    “It’s me mama, Noah.” Noah says.

    “Oh, hi sweetie. You’re up late… But I’m glad you’re here.” Bette says.

    Tina walks up and takes her right hand, brings it up to her mouth and then softly kisses it. “Not on the mouth anymore?” Bette asks and grins.

    Tina smiles and leans down and softly kisses her mouth.

    “I wanna hug mama too.” Noah says and looks up at Tina.

    “Sure sweetie, come here.” Tina says and lifts him up, he sit at the edge and leans down and places a sloppy kiss on his mama’s cheek.

    “Why do you have that white thing over your eyes?” He asks.

    “I’ve had a lot of glass on my eyes. And they have scraped the surface. So I need these bandages so my eyes can heal.” Bette says.

    “When are you coming home?” He asks.

    “I don’t know sweetie. The doctor decides that. But I want to come home really soon. I don’t like it here.” Bette says and feels Noah’s face.

    “I don’t like it here either, it smells funny.” Noah says and Tina smiles. She takes Bette’s hand again. She takes a seat in the chair next to the bed and listens to Noah and Bette small talk. He’s telling her about something Chad, a boy in his class did the other day. From time to time she squeezes Bette’s hand softly to show her that’s she’s there for her.

    “Sweetie could you maybe get out of the bed for a little while? T, could you lift him off?” Bette asks.

    8. Loved how Julia was able to bond some with her mother and then having Noah fight through his fears to see his momma. Shane and Alice are so understanding and there for both Bette and Tina when in a crisis. I do hope that Bette is able to regain her eyes sight soon. Glad your back and hope that the net thingy goes well.

    9. I’m with Noah. Hospitals smell funny. Well, the ICU and regular patient rooms do anyway. It’s like a mixture of nasty food, pee, and a big fart.

    11. Love the story Lauren just hate to see so much happen to the family. they just need to have a long stretch of years when nothing goes wrong with them. Just lots of loving and good times with children growing and getting into all kinds of things.
