“Off course.” Tina replies.
He leaves again. Bette placed Noah next to Daniel in the crib. She takes a seat on the bed, Tina’s slowly moves in so Bette didn’t fall out. Bette placed her arm around her and Tina lowered her head onto Bette.
“Your family comes tomorrow too.” Bette says as she plays with Tina’s hair. Tina takes Bette’s other hand and starts playing with her finger and the ring.
“What are you thinking about?” Bette asks, still playing with Tina’s hair.
“Just how different our life is going to be.” Tina replies and looks up and smiles.
“Yeah, but in a good way though.” Bette says.
“Yeah, in a very good way.” Tina replies.
They sit in a comfortable silence a few minutes.
“You know, in a few years, we have to move.” Tina says.
“Move? Why?” Bette asks a little surprised.
“Well, we only have on extra room, and that is now the twins room. When they get older they need to have their own room.” Tina says.
“They don’t need their own room, they’ll be buddies, best friends.” Bette replies.
“Bette, I know that. But as they get older, they will also need time to them selves.” Tina says.
“Yeah, I guess you’re right.” Bette says after a few moments.
“Yeah I am.” Tina replies and looks up at Bette and pulls her down for a kiss.
“But there is space in the backyard, we could do and add-on.” Bette suggests.
“You think?” Tina asks.
“Off course, outside our bedroom and out back to the left, there is plenty of room. We could easily add another bedroom, we might have to change ours too, but I’m more than willing to do that so our kids will get their own rooms.” Bette says and smiles.
Tina didn’t reply.
“Our kids.” She whispers and looks over at the sleeping twins.
“Yeah, our kids.” Bette replies, also whispering.
The next morning:
Bette had spent this night at home, preparing for the arrival of her family. She was a big constant smile this morning. She ate a quick breakfast of cereal. Then she ran into the new nursery and picked up two cute outfits, one blue infant jog set with a soccer motif and a same in grey with a basket motif. She put them in a small bag, it was going to be their going home clothes she also packed two small hats, both white. She looks over the room again, smiling, thinking that the next time it will be filled with baby cry and laughter. She couldn’t wait and with that she ran out and drove over to the hospital.
