Chapter 118 One and a half hour later, Bette comes running through the doors of the ER, she runs up to the reception desk. “Hi, Tina Kennard Porter, where can I find her?” Bette asks short of breath. The nurse looks at the screen. “She’s in with the doctor at exam room number 5. I think you can go in.” The nurse says. “It’s down that hallway.” The nurse says and points down to the left. Bette starts running and she sees Nicole sitting outside the room. “Nicole, where is she?” Bette asks. “She’s in there, go in.” Nicole says. Bette softly knocks on the door and walks in. She rushes over to Tina’s side, she sees that Tina is crying. “Baby?” Bette asks. She looks from Tina and to the doctor. “Ms. Porter, I’m afraid the baby didn’t make it.” The doctor says in a sad voice. Bette starts to cry and takes Tina into her embrace. They stay like that for a few minutes, just crying. “Do you know what caused it?” Bette asks wiping her tears while still holding onto Tina. The doctor looks at Bette with an even sadder look. “Doctor?” Bette says. “When I did the ultrasound, I did see something. I’m not sure what, I have to have a specialist down here to look at it.” The doctor says. “You saw something? What?” Bette asks. “I’m not sure. I’ll call a specialist.” The doctor says and turns to walk out. “Doctor, please.” Bette asks. He turns around again and looks into Bette’s teary eyes. “I think it is a tumour. But as I said, I’m not sure.” The doctor says and leaves the room. Bette couldn’t hold the tears back, she starts to cry more and hold on to Tina tightly. Bette just holds on to Tina, who is now trembling. “This isn’t happening.” Tina whispers in between the cries. “I can’t take this anymore.” She continues. “We are going to get through this.” Bette says as she runs her fingers through Tina’s hair. She lift up Tina’s face so she’s looking into her teary eyes. “We are getting through this, you here me? I’m sure that it’s nothing.” Bette says and pulls Tina close again. She can’t let go. i like this story altho i hve not commented but this chapter seems really sad – golly the things these two have gone thru so far since the start of the story – wonder why all the writers love to weave such melodramatic and hurt and hospitals scenes. I hope that this is the last of tragedies for these two ppl and from now it be happy moments.

Why, why why do they have to endure all these hardships? Not to mention it’s excruciating for the readers as well. I do love the story though. I just know you WON’T let there be cancer — please!!!! Looking forward to the next post/chapter.

Lauren…what a really sad chapter. B & T lose the baby and now a possible tumor in her ovaries…what DRAMA !! Let’s hope it’s not too bad. And Al and Dana are right…they need to be there for one another. This is happening to both of them. Thanks for the DRAMA, Lauren.

It’s amazing how just written words can conjure up such real feelings, even though we know no it’s fiction. This chapter has caused me to shed some tears for B/T, and while reading it, I’m hoping that somewhere down the road, these two are going to experience happiness, equal to the pain they are feeling now. Please, can these two get a break somewhere?! I’ve been reading all along, just haven’t been commenting, which I’m sorry for. But, please, can we please get these two pregnant….have a happy healthy baby, and have some great family moments? Please, pretty please!!!

youj said a little drama this is king size drama and it’s the holidays for us there is enough saddness in the world right now to keep us in tears for many years –please let us have some happiness soon- ypur story is great but i don’t think most of us have this many events happening to us in such a short time span- can’t wait for next chapters

they just can’t stay out of the hospital can they. please let it only be a tumor that’s not cancer……please? they’ve already lost a baby, don’t let tina lose her life. keep writing. I’ll be reading.
