She raised the tip of her gun and hunkered down, crawling toward them.  She noticed Kasey lying on her belly, both hands cupping her behind.  Ashley couldn’t help but chuckle.  The sight was enough to make anyone smile.

Kyla and Spencer finally calmed down and knelt next to Kasey.  Kyla placed her hand on the brunette’s shoulder.  "Are you ok?"  She asked genuinely concerned.

"Do I look ok?  I just got shot in the ass, twice by the way, with paintballs at close range. I won’t be able to sit for days!"  Kasey’s tone hinted of amusement as she stuck out her tongue.  Spencer stifled a laugh when she suddenly toppled over on top of Kasey.  "Oomph!"  The brunette wriggled beneath Spencer.  The blonde had been hit in the shoulder blade, an area well protected by the contact jersey.

Before Kyla could react she fell backwards and was hit in the right arm.  Ashley stood above them, smiling like a fool before commenting on the obvious.  "Gee Runt, that looks painful."  She noticed the pink paint on one cheek and yellow on the other. 

The three of them stood, brushing themselves off.  "Alright, I say we just gang up on the other two and call a truce before Kasey here ends up with a rainbow on her ass."  Ashley grimaced, causing Spencer and Kyla to giggle.  Kasey simply rubbed her bum and nodded.  "Uh huh, go ahead. I’ll walk behind you where it’s safe."

The group agreed, holstering their weapons and heading in the direction they thought Aiden and Madison might be.  Spencer and Ashley led the way followed closely by Kasey and Kyla.  They scanned the area, taking it all in.  There were no evident footprints, no noises, or traces of Aiden’s sickening cologne.

Kyla and Kasey made small talk, seemingly enjoying each other’s company.  Spencer and Ashley were doing the same, walking with arms linked together as friends would often do.  They had almost forgotten what they were doing when Kyla stopped and listened.

“Shh Guys. Listen.”  The small brunette whispered, her russet oculars darting from side to side.

“What? What is it?”  Ashley crouched as if she were afraid to be caught in a hail of paintballs.
