“I was just gonna get up and-“  Kyla held onto tight to the strings.  “Please don’t go, the squirrels might come back.”  She whispered drowsily.  Kasey complied and laid back down, letting Kyla reposition herself as they had been all night.  It wasn’t long before the two drifted off to sleep, Kyla content with the warm body she held on to.

Only a few hours had gone by when Ashley and Spencer emerged from their tent.  They had slept much better this time around; having stayed active all day had worn them out.  Their hair was tussled while their eyes were tinted with sleep.  Ashley glanced over at Spencer and smiled.

“What?”  The blonde asked, running her hand through her hair.

“Nothing, you just look cute first thing in the morning.”  Ashley replied hoping out of the tent and lending a hand to help Spencer out.

“Thanks.”  A shiver ran through Spencer’s body as her bare feet touched the humid grass.  Ashley noticed this and handed her a pair of shoes and a warm hoodie to wear.

The blonde could never get enough of this caring and sensual side of Ashley.  The brunette always had Spencer’s best interest in mind and showed it often with small gestures such as this.

“Well, would you look at this.”  Ashley whispered, pulling Spencer from her thought.

Kasey flipped her off as the two girls stood above her and a sleeping Kyla.  “She got scared last night.”  Kasey defended their predicament as best she could.

“Sure Kase sure.  I knew you liked her.”  Ashley said matter-of-factly.  Spencer giggled and clung to the brunette’s arm still trying to shake the sleep from her body.  The blonde wasn’t much a talker early mornings.

It wasn’t long before the gang was up and humming around camp.  Aiden, Kasey, and Madison were near the beach conversing on the weather and their weekend so far.  Kyla was busying herself with cooking breakfast for the group while Spencer and Ashley sat atop of the giant boulder near the lake.

“You know Spence, I’m glad I nearly stepped on you last summer at the beach.”  The blonde quirked an eyebrow at her comment.  “No, not like that! I mean, I’m glad I met you!”  Ashley corrected herself, a little embarrassed by her choice of words.
