“What the fuck are you doing?” I snarl at him.

“What we’ve been doing all night, not like it’s any of your business.”

“Dude the last time you kissed her you made her throw up, take the hint and fuck off!” I say the first part with a chuckle to my voice and the last part with utter venom. It does the trick because he scrambles to his feet and leaves us be. I sit next to Spencer and skim her forehead and cheeks with my hand.

“Hey buddy, how you feeling?” I ask in a calm soothing voice as I rub circles on her lower back.

“Umm I’m feeling okay now Ash. Sorry about all this.” She says as she indicates to the sick on the table.

“Ah don’t even worry about it, it wouldn’t be a party without some unfortunate kid hurling everywhere! And besides, I ain’t gonna be the one cleaning it.” I tell her which earns me a small laugh. “Alright then boozy, let’s go get you cleaned up.”

I take Spencer to the toilets and rinse her mouth out and wash her face, when I’ve finished this I take her back out and sit her down and go to the bar and get her a drink of water. After a few sips she places it back down on a table and I check her over to see if she’s sobering up any.

“Is that any better Spence?” I ask her.

“Yeah, I feel fine now Ash, seriously, go and enjoy the rest of the party.” She tries to reassure me.

“Oh, no way. You are the party baby!” I tell her which makes her chuckle, always a good thing. “Let me just go say goodbye and we can be out of here.” I tell her with a smile as I walk to the dance floor to find Jay.

“Jay, will you do me a favour and take Spencer outside please.” I ask her while I hand her Spencer’s coat.

“Why what’s up?”

“We’re just gonna head home in a minute and I have to go say bye to people quickly.”

“Yeah cool no problem.” She says as she heads over to Spencer.

I quickly walk around and say my goodbyes to my friends and tell the birthday girl I had a great time, great is a major over statement, but it wasn’t all that bad. I then head over to Miles and tell him I’m going and he obviously offers to come with and take me home, I’d rather he didn’t if I’m being honest, so I just tell him that I’ll be fine with Spencer. As I’m talking to him one of my friends comes in from outside and tells me that Spencer wants me, so I give Miles the quickest of kisses and head out towards Spencer.
