Spencer walked over to where Glen stood.

“Hey Spence! They were just telling me about an open spot on the basketball team. That’s awesome right?” Glen asked as he wrapped his arm around Madison’s waist. You could see Madison’s surprise as he did it. The girl with brown eyes rolled her eyes and gave him a death glare.

Wow. What’s up with that? Spencer thought about the girl’s reaction. Spencer decide to fake excitement as she put a big grin on her face.

“Yeah, that’s awesome! First day madness huh?” she asked as she poked him in the belly slightly. The brunette spoke before Glen could say anything else.

“Hey Glen…” She said as she softly caressed his face and pulled him away from Madison. “I bet Kyla would love to introduce you to some of the team. Right Ky?” Spencer assumed that the girl who frowned and rolled her eyes was Kyla.

“Ashley, I don’t think…” Kyla started before Madison cut her off.

“Right Ky?” She asked as she looked Glen up and down. If Spencer didn’t know better, she would think that the two girls didn’t like him. It was too bad that Spencer did know better, but she wouldn’t say anything to Glen about it.

“Right.” Kyla mumbled as she told Glen to follow her and walked away.

“I don’t think I introduced myself earlier, because somebody was too busy talking.” The brunette said as she cast a sideways glance at Madison. Madison smiled slightly but didn’t say anything. “I’m Ashley.” The girl said as she stuck her hand out. Spencer grabbed it and the first thing she noticed was how soft it was. “I’m also a captain…”

“Co-captain.” Madison said, interrupting her. Spencer had noticed that she had a problem with cutting people off.

“Captain.” Ashley said as she gave Madison a sharp look. The two of them were slightly amusing to Spencer. “But we’re in need of a co-captain…”

“Hold on. Rewind that please.” Said some girl with red high-lights as she stepped forward. “I’m co-captain. We’re not in need of anything.”

“You didn’t tell her?” Ashley asked Madison as both of them looked at the other girl. Madison shook her head.
