The King High Killer – (Chapter: Chapter 11 Eleven, Die and Go to Heaven)

“Let’s pack it up for the night and just meet tomorrow at lunch like we planned. It’s too late to think anymore.” Lily said through a yawn. “I probably won’t sleep so I’ll update the easel with our facts.” Lily whispered as she gave her girlfriend a kiss on the forehead.

The girls said their goodbyes and ten minutes later Ashley and Spencer were quietly tiptoeing up to the blonde’s bedroom. As they lay there in silence, Spencer slowly turned to look at Ashley through the darkness.

“Are we going to talk about the files?” Ashley also turned as she brought the blanket closer to her chin.

“I don’t want to…I…” She trailed off as she sighed deeply. “Spencer…?”

“I think we should talk to Victoria Marks about it…to make sense of it.” Spencer went on, knowing she wouldn’t be able to sleep until something was decided.

“Fine. We’ll go to the hospital soon and ask her about it…but…”

“What?” Spencer asked, moving closer towards Ashley, saddened by the reflection of tears she saw in the brunette’s eyes.

“The files…weren’t normal or whatever. I’m just afraid of what it could mean, ya know?” Spencer silently nodded. Ashley closed her eyes as she envisioned the picture that accompanied her father’s file; it was taken not long before his death and the brunette yearned to make the photo real.

“I just wish I had gotten to say goodbye.” Ashley finally said, whispering through her slowly falling tears.

    “Me too.” Spencer whispered back.

“Even the funeral…God, the funeral! I mean, how horrible could it have been if…” Ashley swallowed the lump in her throat as she quickly wiped away her tears.

“I know. I wanted to see my mom one last time too.” Without another word, the blonde buried her face in Ashley’s neck and snuggled closer to erase the images of her mother’s file and the pictures that accompanied it.

Although they had prearranged plans to do more than sleep, both girls almost instantly passed out after their talk.

The next morning came too early for Ashley and Spencer. Through bleary eyes they made their way to school in an exhausted haze. It was exhausting for the pair to make it through the day, but they kept their sights set on their lunch time meeting with Carmen and Lily to make it through.

    1. (SQUEEEE!!!) sooo glad you’re still writing this! hell, i’m overjoyed when you write anything. i feel like i’ve hit a plateau with the compliments. at this point, after reading and loving every SON story you’ve written, like fifty times, i hope it’s enough to just reiterate that i truly appreciate your time and talent :)

    2. okay first of all…i hate you. you made me wait forever and i don’t appreciate it. BUT…i do appreciate this update and everything about it. i need the next two updates….NOW. damn you, you make me crave each of your stories so that i don’t know which one i want you to work on. you had me all about the glee fic and now i just want to read the rest of this. i’m sure once the glee fic comes out i’m going to want that to be continued. damn your mind games! it was just so good, and who is this rude killer? what do the files say? why are two people chasing them? who has access to the police head quarters. i’m not budging on my theory that it’s one of the adults… marie or mr. carlin. if it’s one of the police officers or coroners i’m going to be pissed that i didn’t see it sooner. once again, damn your mind games. text me when you read this so i can yell at you further.

    3. holy freakin hell it’s about time! I’ve been dying for this update, literally ready to scream at the computer willing it to appear. but anyway let’s see. wow so much is going on. I gotta say the whole “You may not know who I am, but I know who you are” has me thinking hard. and what the hell is up with the files for the ‘rents I would like to know. hmm, the student body now knows all of what spence and ash know, and the protege seems to have a soft spot for spence. I don’t quite know what to make of the 2 people outside of the Zee’s house. maybe it was the killer and the protege, maybe it was someone pulling a very twisted prank. kinda rude for Mr Zee not to wait for spence and ash though, geesh. buy alas, we’re coming to the ending. and that is sooo sad, but I’ll be glad to know what the hell is going on and the killer’s motives (hidden or otherwise) and all that. ahhh the ending here was so great, although I was really really hoping that spence would step up and confess her love for ash. guess I gotta wait for that. glad to know we’ll be getting the rest before Halloween. psyched for it!! awesome job mighty Stix!
