The King High Killer – (Chapter: Chapter 11 Eleven, Die and Go to Heaven)

Cecily cocked her head at the question. “Why yes I am. You know my Clay?” Spencer and Ashley swallowed hard at the softening in the woman’s tone.

“We go to King with him.” Spencer squeaked out, inching her way to the door with the file and copies held tightly in her hands behind her back. “Tell him we say hi.”

“Right,” Ashley said, catching on as she too slowly made her way to the door. “But we have to go cause like you said it’s getting late and we really should get some sleep seeing as tomorrow is a school day.” Spencer grabbed Ashley’s arm and jerked her roughly towards the door to prevent the brunette from babbling.

“Bye, Ms. Brown.” Spencer said before she exited the room. Ashley waved as she was pulled into the hallway and took off at a run to keep up with Spencer.

Cecily waited a moment until she turned back to the filing cabinet. She opened the drawer and her eyes quickly scanned the out of place files. Her eyes narrowed before she closed the drawer and took out her key to open the morgue’s door.

Spencer and Ashley bypassed the elevators and opted for the stairs. They were sprinting, skipping steps, as they ran. The brunette was a little puzzled when Spencer didn’t go to the ground floor doorway, but instead kept jogging up the steps.

“Spence, where are we going?” Ashley panted out as she followed behind her ex best friend.

    “Carmen’s room.”

It was almost two in the morning. Across town the protégé was about to call the Killer, but in the small, three-walled, makeshift room, Ashley, Spencer, and Lily were pouring over the copied files that were made not long before.

Silently, both Spencer and Ashley decided to keep their findings about their parents files quiet until they had time to talk. Instead, they focused their attentions on the current investigation.

“This autopsy says that the marks on J.P were incongruent with the others.” Lily mentioned, cheek propped up against her fist as she looked down at the file in her lap. None of the girls were comfortable looking at the pictures and words that corresponded with the deceased, but both Spencer and, especially Ashley, outright refused to study J.P’s. They knew that the death of the short-order cook from Paula’s Place was particularly important, mostly because it didn’t follow the pattern of King High students. But since they had both been extremely close to the man, it was too hard to read about his death.

    1. (SQUEEEE!!!) sooo glad you’re still writing this! hell, i’m overjoyed when you write anything. i feel like i’ve hit a plateau with the compliments. at this point, after reading and loving every SON story you’ve written, like fifty times, i hope it’s enough to just reiterate that i truly appreciate your time and talent :)

    2. okay first of all…i hate you. you made me wait forever and i don’t appreciate it. BUT…i do appreciate this update and everything about it. i need the next two updates….NOW. damn you, you make me crave each of your stories so that i don’t know which one i want you to work on. you had me all about the glee fic and now i just want to read the rest of this. i’m sure once the glee fic comes out i’m going to want that to be continued. damn your mind games! it was just so good, and who is this rude killer? what do the files say? why are two people chasing them? who has access to the police head quarters. i’m not budging on my theory that it’s one of the adults… marie or mr. carlin. if it’s one of the police officers or coroners i’m going to be pissed that i didn’t see it sooner. once again, damn your mind games. text me when you read this so i can yell at you further.

    3. holy freakin hell it’s about time! I’ve been dying for this update, literally ready to scream at the computer willing it to appear. but anyway let’s see. wow so much is going on. I gotta say the whole “You may not know who I am, but I know who you are” has me thinking hard. and what the hell is up with the files for the ‘rents I would like to know. hmm, the student body now knows all of what spence and ash know, and the protege seems to have a soft spot for spence. I don’t quite know what to make of the 2 people outside of the Zee’s house. maybe it was the killer and the protege, maybe it was someone pulling a very twisted prank. kinda rude for Mr Zee not to wait for spence and ash though, geesh. buy alas, we’re coming to the ending. and that is sooo sad, but I’ll be glad to know what the hell is going on and the killer’s motives (hidden or otherwise) and all that. ahhh the ending here was so great, although I was really really hoping that spence would step up and confess her love for ash. guess I gotta wait for that. glad to know we’ll be getting the rest before Halloween. psyched for it!! awesome job mighty Stix!
