The King High Killer – (Chapter: Chapter 11 Eleven, Die and Go to Heaven)
“I…I have no idea…you’re wrong…I-”
“Do not lie to me. You are far too dumb and I too smart. Just heed my warning. And besides, I don’t intend to keep her around for much longer…especially if she’s distracting you.”
“But-”
“Do your job, take her to the dance as a ruse, and forget her. That is all.”
The line went dead and, after a long moment, the protégé finally shut the cell, stowing it away in the grey hoodie.
There were only four days until Halloween. It would all be worth it, the protégé thought. It had to be.
It had to be.

They had managed to make a copy of each victims report before Ashley stumbled on something in the file cabinet and pulled it out. Spencer watched as the brunette’s body stiffened and looked over the girl’s shoulder to see what she was reading. In big, bold print at the top of the file read: Raife Davies. Without another thought, Spencer moved around her ex best friend and fished through the C’s until she found what she was looking for. But neither could be prepared for what they found.
“Spencer.” Ashley said, her voice laced with horror and pain. “You need to read this.”
“Can I help you with somethin’?” Ashley supposed that the blood pounding in her ears was what made her miss the sound of the office door opening. Both girls spun around to see a woman standing in the frame of the door, hand on hip, looking at both of them through narrowed, suspicious eyes.
“Interns.” Spencer blurted out as she subtly hid her mother’s file behind her back.
“What was that?” The woman asked, quirking an eyebrow.
“We’re interns.” Spencer repeated, gesturing to Ashley and herself. “Just doing a little filing.” She regained her composure and, as casually as possibly, turned back to the file cabinet to cram the folders from which she made her copies.
“Interns?” The woman said, slowly walking into the room. “It’s a little late for interns.” Spencer and Ashley sensed that they were not convincing this woman of anything, and were quick to make their leave.
“You’re absolutely right, Ms…” Ashley studied the name on the black woman’s badge that was pinned to her lapel. “Cecily Brown.” The brunette’s eyes snapped up to the woman’s face. “You aren’t by any chance Clay Brown’s mother, are you?”

fucking wonderful… really love the story, and that sex was-wow. just great job, please, please, please pms!!
(SQUEEEE!!!) sooo glad you’re still writing this! hell, i’m overjoyed when you write anything. i feel like i’ve hit a plateau with the compliments. at this point, after reading and loving every SON story you’ve written, like fifty times, i hope it’s enough to just reiterate that i truly appreciate your time and talent :)
okay first of all…i hate you. you made me wait forever and i don’t appreciate it. BUT…i do appreciate this update and everything about it. i need the next two updates….NOW. damn you, you make me crave each of your stories so that i don’t know which one i want you to work on. you had me all about the glee fic and now i just want to read the rest of this. i’m sure once the glee fic comes out i’m going to want that to be continued. damn your mind games! it was just so good, and who is this rude killer? what do the files say? why are two people chasing them? who has access to the police head quarters. i’m not budging on my theory that it’s one of the adults… marie or mr. carlin. if it’s one of the police officers or coroners i’m going to be pissed that i didn’t see it sooner. once again, damn your mind games. text me when you read this so i can yell at you further.
I’m kind of hoping its ashley dont know why im twisted like that
holy freakin hell it’s about time! I’ve been dying for this update, literally ready to scream at the computer willing it to appear. but anyway let’s see. wow so much is going on. I gotta say the whole “You may not know who I am, but I know who you are” has me thinking hard. and what the hell is up with the files for the ‘rents I would like to know. hmm, the student body now knows all of what spence and ash know, and the protege seems to have a soft spot for spence. I don’t quite know what to make of the 2 people outside of the Zee’s house. maybe it was the killer and the protege, maybe it was someone pulling a very twisted prank. kinda rude for Mr Zee not to wait for spence and ash though, geesh. buy alas, we’re coming to the ending. and that is sooo sad, but I’ll be glad to know what the hell is going on and the killer’s motives (hidden or otherwise) and all that. ahhh the ending here was so great, although I was really really hoping that spence would step up and confess her love for ash. guess I gotta wait for that. glad to know we’ll be getting the rest before Halloween. psyched for it!! awesome job mighty Stix!
