The Dark Side – (Chapter: Life, Death and a New Beginning)

“Aiden I didn’t say she wasn’t home, I said she may be busy.”  Aiden stared at Glen.

Glen sighed, “must I say the words Aiden?  For crying out loud, she’s my sister and I don’t want to picture her doing what I’m trying to tell you she might be doing.”  Aiden still did not comprehend what Glen was saying.

“Oh for fucking out loud… BUSY HAVING SEX!”

“Huh… oh… ooohhh!  My bad.  Well I’m not leaving, we need to talk to Spencer.  I don’t care if she is ‘BUSY’.  Besides it’s storming out here and I don’t want to drive back to my place in it,” Aiden whined.

So Glen and Aiden got out of Aiden’s car and ran toward the door.  Aiden rang the doorbell.  “No answer,” he said.  Glen waited for Aiden to use his key but he didn’t.

Another eye roll was produced by Glen.  “Aiden just use your key, it’s pouring down out here and we’re getting soaked.”

“Oh… now it’s okay for me to let myself in using the code to the gate and the key to the front door.  But before when I used them…”

    “Just do it,” Glen snapped.

The foyer was dimly lit.  “Hello… Spencer,” Glen called out.

“I don’t like this Glen, where’s Martha?  And why is the light in the foyer turned down so low?  Spencer never leaves the place this dark, whether she’s here or not.”  Glen shrugged his shoulders.

Glen and Aiden slowly walked up the stairs, “Spencer are you up here?” Glen called out again.

“Yes, I’m in my bedroom.”  Both men breathe a sigh of relief.

Opening Spencer’s bedroom door they see Ashley and Spencer brazenly embracing and kissing passionately, while the wind and rain howled inside the open balcony window.

    Ashley’s POV

“Hey guys we’ve been waiting for you.  What took you so long to get here?” Spencer drunkenly asked while sheepishly smiling at her prey.  Glen and Aiden looked at each other.

“Spencer are you alright?” Glen asked, fretfully looking at his sister.

“She’s fine,” I answered as both men turned their attention to me.

Not pleased with what he was seeing, Aiden scowled, remembering what his great great grandfather wrote in the letter.  The creature can be a beautiful woman.  “Spencer where’s Martha?”
