That Girl. – (Chapter: Baby Don't Move.)
Ashley was having a hard time figuring out what to say when the doorbell rang. She had no idea who it would be. No one came over there at all. Spencer’s parents never really came around to her being gay or being with me. Her brother was off playing basketball somewhere on some professional team. Ashley didn’t like talking about her family, but she knew it wasn’t them ringing the doorbell.
She opened it to find Spencer’s twin sister minus about twenty years of age standing at the door. Tight denim jeans covered her legs while a tight pink polo covered her stomach and blonde hair flowed around her face. Sam. It had to be Sam.
“Can I help you?” Ashley asked.
“Is Taylor here?” The girl asked nervously.
“No.” Ashley said simply looking at the girl. This was her time to talk, not Ashley’s.
“Do you know when they’ll be back?” Sam asked.
“This afternoon I guess. I really don’t know.” Ashley said.
“Can I come back later?” Sam asked.
“Don’t ask me that unless you plan on doing it.” Ashley said coldly.
“I will.” Sam said.
“Fine, come around eight.” Ashley said shutting the door.
Taylor and Spencer got back around five, but Ashley didn’t inform them of the visitor. She didn’t want to get her daughters hopes up again for no reason. She was tired of seeing Taylor hurt because of Sam. To say the feeling that washed over Ashley at that moment was weird would be an understatement. She remembered all the times that Spencer’s father had been on the phone telling her to move on from herself. Ashley was always going to be that girl that hurt Spencer so long ago, but she changed. She finally realized why Spencer’s parents didn’t like her. Her and Spencer had made it though. That is the only reason she was even letting Sam come back in her house.
As eight o’clock got there, Ashley got nervous. Taylor was watching TV in her room while Spencer held Ashley close on the couch in the living room. Spencer noticed Ashley tense up.
“What’s wrong babe?” Spencer asked.
“Nothing, I’m fine.” Ashley said.
Spencer didn’t push really. Maybe Ashley was tired. At 8:03, someone knocked on the door. Ashley got up slowly to get the door. She opened it to see Sam standing there.
