Spencer: “Well…you-you’re doing good.” I say hesitantly. “Great actually.” she smiled.
Paula: “Exactly. You don’t ever have to be afraid to come to me about anything Spencer. Besides, I’d probably know about it before you tell me. I have a sixth sense.” she said tapping her head. I believed her, and it scared the hell out of me. I guess if I’d ever sneak out, she’d know.
Spencer: “I’m sorry.” I said quietly. “It’s just…I’m nervous and I’m tired of waiting for her.”
Paula: “You know…she waited for you. For a long time.” What?! There it is, another anvil.
Spencer: “Huh?” How long has she noticed?!
Paula: “Mothers know these things. Like I kind of had a feeling…that you liked Ashley. And I mean I really knew when I caught you two kissing.” she chuckled.
I hope she doesn’t know I slept with her. Crap! don’t think it Spencer, she might be reading your mind right now.
Spencer: “Mom.” I whined.
Paula: “Sorry.” we were quiet for a while. “Have you talked to your father about this?”
Spencer: “Yea.”
Paula: “What advice did your dad give you?”
Spencer: “He said ‘wait. See what happens.’ something like that. But I’m tired of waiting. She’s probably gonna stick with Emily.” I whined.
Paula: “If it’s really meant to be, then it’ll happen. You just have to be patient. You know how the song goes… ‘You can’t hurry love, No, you just have to wait, She said trust, give it time, No matter how long it takes’.” she sang. I chuckled. She was about to go further into the song, but luckily, I stopped her.
Spencer: “Thanks mom. But, I think you should leave the singing to the professionals. Besides…we’re in public.” I said looking at our surroundings and she chuckled.
Paula: “Yea yea, you just wish you could be this cool.” we laugh again.
Spencer: “So right now…are you the mom, or the friend?” She was quiet for a while.
Paula: “Both.” I smile and we hugged.
We hung out together the rest of that day. That was a great day. It was a day, I’ll always remember. The day I had, officially told my mom, and she was really cool about it, but she pretty much already knew, so yea.

I’m happy that Paula took the news so well. At least Spencer didn’t get disowned or anything. But I agree with the rest of the guys, HURRY with the Spashley please. I know I said I would be patient but it REALLY isn’t one of my virtues…:-( Anyways, great update!! PMS!!
I’m really glad you decided to let paula be ok with Spencer being Bi. I t was really funny when she asked Spencer about the girl. Please let ther be Speashley soon, don’t get me wrong, I like Emily, she hasn;t done anything for me to NOT like her but I want Spashley. If you don’t do it right now, at least bring someone into spencer’s life, preferably a girl, so she be a little happy. And it’s always nice to see how Ashley would react.
wow paula took it really good. see spencer was all worried and scared over nothing. i think spence should start dating maybe a girl but have not be serious. might as well while she’s waiting for ash. great update!!!!pms!!
