Paula: “See this is why we don’t talk anymore Spencer, you’re the one uncomfortable with this, not me.” God, she really knows how to make me feel bad. “Come on Spencer.”
Spencer: “Mom this just feels weird. You’re my mom.”
Paula: “Well…pretend I’m just one of your friends.” I just stop and look at her. “Aww, little Spency’s scared.”
Spencer: "Mom don’t" She pinches my cheek and keeps teasing me.
Paula: "Aww, look she’s blushing…" WHAT THE HELL?! It’s really getting annoying so I just-
Spencer: “YES SHE’S HOTT, SHE’S A 10, I’D TAP THAT!!!” hmm, was that too loud?
Spencer: “I just went too far didn’t I?”
Paula: “Yep.” And everyone’s looking.
Spencer: “Can we go to a different store?”
Paula: “Way ahead of you.” and we leave to go to another store.
Spencer: “Ok, before you get mad remember, you said to pretend you were my friend.” I said quickly.
Paula: “I didn’t say anything.” she laughed. “So…you have slept with a girl?” I just look at her nervously. “And a guy?” Again, I look at her nervously. “Hope you used protection.”
Spencer: “Don’t worry mom. I will forever remember that talk.” She laughs again.
Paula: “Believe me, you’re not the only one.” this time I laugh with her.
Spencer: “Okay…”
Paula: “So why aren’t you dating anyone?”
Spencer: “I um…well, the person I want to date is…they’re taken.”
Paula: “So your…waiting?”
Spencer: “I don’t know anymore. She’s probably gonna stay with her current.”
Paula: “So it is Ashley.” she said ever so nonchalantly.
Spencer: “Um…no.” I say hesitantly with a hint of defensiveness. But obviously we both knew it was a lie, because she gave me that ‘don’t lie to me’ look, so I broke.
Spencer: “Of course…it’s always been her.” I mumble.
Paula: “I know.” I look up at her.
Spencer: “But how-” and before I can get anything else out-
Paula: “The way you and Ashley always argue, the looks. I’m not blind Spencer.” she chuckles. Ok, was it really that obvious or is she just a mind reader? What doesn’t she know?!
Paula: “Why didn’t you come to me sooner?”
Spencer: “I was…afraid. Afraid of how you’d react.”
Paula: “And how am I reacting?”

I’m happy that Paula took the news so well. At least Spencer didn’t get disowned or anything. But I agree with the rest of the guys, HURRY with the Spashley please. I know I said I would be patient but it REALLY isn’t one of my virtues…:-( Anyways, great update!! PMS!!
I’m really glad you decided to let paula be ok with Spencer being Bi. I t was really funny when she asked Spencer about the girl. Please let ther be Speashley soon, don’t get me wrong, I like Emily, she hasn;t done anything for me to NOT like her but I want Spashley. If you don’t do it right now, at least bring someone into spencer’s life, preferably a girl, so she be a little happy. And it’s always nice to see how Ashley would react.
wow paula took it really good. see spencer was all worried and scared over nothing. i think spence should start dating maybe a girl but have not be serious. might as well while she’s waiting for ash. great update!!!!pms!!
