“Spencer, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to upset you” she says sincerely

“No I know, it’s okay. Maybe we should just head back to the villas”

I can’t help it, I’m not in the mood to be around Ashley right now at the risk of losing it again and the last place I want to be right now is at the beach.

“I’m really sorry, I shouldn’t have said anything”

“It’s okay, really” I said and ducked my head under the water to rid my tears

We got out of the water and headed back to our spot.

“How was the water?” Kyla asked us

“It was good, I kind of want to go back to the villa are you guys ready? I could always come back and get you”

“Don’t be silly, we’ll come back with you” Kyla replied

“Yeah, we’re ready” Blake chimed in

Ashley didn’t say anything and just sat up and gathered her stuff, I couldn’t bring myself to make eye contact with her. I packed up quickly and began walking towards the care, I know that Ashley was questioning Blake about my sudden mood swing but I didn’t want to stick around and hear it. I was starting to feel dizzy, maybe it was my run this morning or maybe it was being in the sun or maybe it was Ashley but I felt like I could black out at any moment. A feeling that was all too familiar a year ago, I thought I had been over that period of my life but it was coming back and fast.
Finally the three of them were at the car and loading the truck with their stuff.

“Ky would you mind driving?”

“of course, are you alright you don’t look so good..”

“I feel a little dizzy, I think I got too much sun” I reply starting to see spots

“okay get in, you’re making me nervous. You look like you’re about to pass out”

“Spence, are you okay?” Ashley says rubbing on my arm

“Yeah I’m fine” I reply and turn away from her losing my contact with her.

They finally get in the car and I can sit down, I feel a little bit better and Kyla keeps the roof up and turns on the AC. I start to think about what Blake had said and what Kyla was saying to me last night, and about Parker my boyfriend, the fact that I was lying to Ashley and lying to myself, about potentially having dinner with her family, her finding everything out, who her father was, how I feel when she touches me. And then everything just goes black.
