Preciosa – (Chapter: What’s It Going To Be?)

    Chapter Thirty- Nine

Spencer woke to find Ashley looking blankly ahead. It looked as if the brunette had only slept maybe one or two hours. She had a strange look on her face and Spencer began to worry.

“Ashley?” Spencer said in a tired voice.

Ashley turned her head to look at Spencer and smiled weakly. “Hey there…you sleep well?”

Spencer nodded and sat up next to the brunette. “What’s the matter? What did Kyla have to say last night?”

Ashley kept quiet and debated whether or not she should tell Spencer what she had found out. She looked at her concerned fiancée whose deep blue eyes looked at her with the most caring of stares. “Well…umm…where do I start?”

“Take your time.” Spencer said holding Ashley’s hand and squeezing.

Ashley picked up the blonde’s hand and kissed it softly before standing up. She began to pace the room and tried to think of where she could begin. “Kyla had some news for me…” She stopped and looked at Spencer and began to pace again. “Aiden…you remember him?” Spencer nodded and pulled the covers to her chest as she listened to Ashley. “Well turns out he and Madison ended up getting married.”

“That doesn’t seem like it’s so bad…but why did Kyla tell you this?”

“Aiden has been trying to get a hold of me ever since he saw me at the gallery…since I totally ignored him he went to talk to Kyla.”

“Must have been awkward for Kyla…”

“Well she relayed what he had to say to me and now it’s up to me.”

    “What is sweetie?”

Ashley sat next to Spencer and reached for her hand. “Aiden and Madison have a 2-year old daughter…and Madison….she…” Ashley felt a tear fall from her eye down her cheek.

Spencer reached out and brushed the tear away. “She what sweetie?”

“Madison died…while giving birth…” She looked away not able to look into Spencer’s eyes.

“Oh my god…that’s awful…I’m sorry Ash.” Spencer said pulling Ashley in for a hug.

“Aiden…he…he told Kyla that he couldn’t handle everything so he began to drink and do drugs regularly. He’s trying to clean up his act but he’s afraid he may lose his daughter.”

    1. Alright, your fanfics are like some sort of addicting drug. Unfair, very very unfair… I should be training or working but noooo, I’m here reading your stories haha Good job, keep ’em up! You’re an amazing writer with a great imagination.

    2. So what can I say…another great update. I don’t comment all the time, but believe me I’m following along through your journey. I hope that Aiden doesn’t try to use his daughter to get back into Ashley’s life. We can’t have that. Sometimes I just want Spencer and Ashley to be happy together without any drama pulling them apart. I mean they can have the regular daily life drama (like why didn’t you go to the grocery store and pick up some more juice or arguing about not putting gas in the car), but not “nearly break-up” drama. Okay, I’m done venting. But I really am enjoying your story. Makes me want to write again…Post more soon.
