“Ashley this is…I just don’t understand why…” she said

“you want to know why?” I asked her honestly then she put her drink down looking at me “…because I can’t stop thinking about you…and I was sitting in my office today alone, looking at a picture of you and me realizing that’s the life I want…I want a life with you Spencer…”

“Ashley…you don’t…”

“yes…I do…” I told her “…Spencer whenever I’m around you my heart beats out of my chest, and that’s a feeling I never want to go away…” I said

“but you don’t want to hurt Brooke…” she added then I shook my head

“no” I said simply

After we were done eating, I walked Spencer to her car “you sure you don’t want to come over?” I asked her

“you have a lot of thinking to do…” she said “…call me later though if you want” she added

“I will…” I told her giving her a hug then she got into her car and when she turned it on I started walking to my car

I can not even being to try and explain what’s going on between Ashley and me right now because I don’t even really know. All I know is I can’t stop thinking about her, and she’s not the only one with their heart beating out of their chest.

“hello?” I asked answering my phone

“uh…hey” Ashley replied

“hey how are you?” I asked her

“tired…taking a break for the day” she told me

“lucky…well I get out of here in an hour…” I told her then she was quiet “…ash, hello…”

“yeah sorry…” she replied quickly “…I really want to see you” she said

“Ashley…isn’t Brooke home now?”

“working till eleven tonight…there’s some big Hollywood party…can I please see you?” she nearly begged

“uh yeah…can you come over my place?” I asked her

“yeah in like an hour…” she told me

“ok…I’ll see you then” I said hanging up the phone, I mean what was I getting myself into? Ashley was engaged, but somehow that didn’t seem to matter.  

When I was at home I just did the usual and threw on some shorts and a tshirt that I stole from Ashley years ago…it never seemed to bother her though, but then again that could be because she never noticed. I heard a knock on my apartment door and I knew it was her because of the creative non conformist knocking. Ashley was the type of person that either knocked until you answered it and past the time u answered it, or the type of person that put together a little beat that made you rush to the door because something about the “rhythmic” knocking made you smile. Then again that could all just be because it was Ashley at my door.
