Out Of My Element – (Chapter: Call Me Anytime You’ve Got A Ghost)

I was excited. I’m sure she would make it a fun night, I hadn’t gotten a bad vibe from her since Aiden introduced us. I looked at the clock on the computer screen, 4:10. Maybe I could try and squeeze in a nap since I didn’t get to before. I closed my laptop and placed the phone back in the cradle. I threw myself onto the bed and buried my head into the pillow. My eyelids got heavy and I started to drift off. Maybe it was the comfort and softness of my queen sized bed that I called home, but sleep hit me faster than I thought it would.

In one fell swoop it became clear to me,
    that I despise you entirely.
But the good news is I’m gonna keep you around,
and so your lust is just convenient now.

I realized that my phone was ringing in the other room as The Spill Canvas brought me in and out of sleep with Lust A Prima Vista. I jumped up and walked over to the couch, sitting down as I picked up my cell phone. Incoming call: Mom?. I didn’t really feel like talking to her so I hit ‘ignore’. Whatever she had to say, she could tell it to the voicemail. I looked up at the clock: 7:48. ‘Wow, some nap’ I thought. I decided it was time to go out and have some fun. I hopped up and walked over to the stereo. I rummaged through some cd’s, and picked out a random mix. I turned up the volume as I shoved it into the player and skipped to the bathroom as the first song came on. A techno something that didn’t have words but was easy to dance to. I tapped my foot as I livened up my curls with some fruity smelling hairspray and walked over to my closet. Most of my clothes we’re on the floor, but that usually meant they were dirty so I stuck to what was hanging up. I found a cute jean miniskirt and a white and black striped tank. I changed and slipped on some heels to match. I walked back to the bathroom and painted on some eyeshadow, liner, and mascara. I used a little lipgloss to finish things off and grabbed my keys, purse, and phone on the way out. I drove, windows down with the music turned up and pulled into the parking lot of Spin. I checked myself in the rearview mirror and hopped out, locking it as I walked away.
