Not The Type 2: Established – (Chapter: Chapter 4)

“Morning.” I walk into the room.

“Morning.” She smiles at me. “Here, Paris wants to talk to her mama.” I walk over and take the phone. I spend the next ten minutes listening to my four year old explain how her grandpa fixed her and her sister breakfast and how they’re all going to the park later.

When I get off the phone, I go looking for Spencer.

“Spencer!” I walk into our bedroom.

“Why are you so loud?” She throws one of Sydney’s shoes at me.

“What?!” I laugh at the look of annoyance on Spencer’s face.

    “Shut up.”

“I love you!” I yell while walking over to her. Spencer’s bending down, picking up a pile of toys Sydney dragged into our room, before we left for Spencer’s parents house. “Spencer!” I slap her on the ass.

“Use your inside voice.” She grins.

“Okay!” We both laugh when Spencer jumps on me and we both go falling back onto our bed.

“I’m sorry.” She whispers into my neck, kissing it.

“What’s going on?” I ask, flipping us over so I’m on top. “I hate fighting with you.”

“I know. Me too.” We start to make out like love sick teenagers.

“We have to make up before me have sex.” I grin, moving my lips to her neck.

“What would you say if I told you I want to be a stay at home mom?” Spencer asks while running her hands through my hair. My lips pause on her collarbone.

“Is that what you want?” I slide off of her to lie beside her. “Do you want to stay at home with the girls?”

“Not right now. But eventually yeah.”

    “Okay.”

    “Okay?” She grins at me.

“Yeah,” I grin back. “Spencer, you and our kids are everything to me. I’ll do and give you anything you want.”

“That’s why I didn’t take the job. If I take that job, that’s more hours away from you and the girls. I like just being a nurse. I love coming home to you and the girls.”

“Is that all?” I ask while running my hands across her stomach. “You sure you don’t want to tell me you’re pregnant?”

“Yeah right,” She laughs. “We are not having any more kids for some years.”

Spencer and I stay in bed talking until it’s time to pick up the girls.
