    Spencer gives in.

     

    “Are you sure you’re ok with this?” Ashley asked. She had pulled back mere inches, her eyes still closed from the intensity of the kiss.

    “Actually, no…no, I can’t do this. I have to go.”

                But this time the blonde didn’t move. She and Ashley’s lips touched lightly, reveling in the thrill of this inadequate reunion. The brunette finally gathered the courage to run her fingers along the small of Spencer’s back, but moved them as soon as the blonde flinched.

    “No, really. I have to go.”

    “Wait, what happened? Did you feel anything?”

                Spencer was silent. She did feel something. She felt everything. But she was scared. She and Ashley had never earned the reputation of being a stable couple and as she grew older she found herself less anxious to throw herself into something that may not last. Not only that, but no one hurt her more than Ashley Davies. She wasn’t prepared to endure that much pain again.

    “No, I’m sorry. I didn’t feel anything.”

    “I don’t believe you,” Ashley said, shaking her head, “I just don’t.”

    “You don’t have to, Ash. I’m marrying Rachel in a few weeks. I would love to have you there. Will you come?”

                Finally unable to withstand the emotional weight of it all, Ashley collapsed onto the floor. Tears spilled uncontrollably out of her brown eyes, her body heaving wildly. Spencer didn’t know what to do. She couldn’t promise that if she dropped to the floor and comforted Ashley, their kiss wouldn’t continue.

    “Why?! Why are you doing this?” the brunette screamed, her voice echoing throughout the emptiness of the loft’s walls.

    Spencer fell to her knees beside Ashley, ignoring her fear from a moment ago and cautiously placing a hand on her quivering back, “I’m not trying to hurt you. I promise. I wish that we could still be in each other’s lives, Ash. I can’t imagine not having you at something as important as my wedding.”

    “I can’t imagine not being at your wedding either,” Ashley said, sitting up to look at Spencer’s directly, “I can’t imagine not being the one who gets to marry you.”

                The blonde navigated Ashley’s face with her eyes until blue met brown and she could no longer continue the contact. She hesitantly found the bottom seam of Ashley’s shirt and pulled it up and over her head, tousling her ex’s hair in a way that left her even sexier.

    3. Damn I don’t blame Spencer but does she really think that by having Ashley be her “mistress” that she wouldn’t get hurt just the same if Ashley tried to leave…..duh Spence you will get hurt no matter what drop your walls dumb ass and Ashley don’t fuck up again!! I freaking love this story.

I am so fucking pissed right now….I don’t know where to start….I am mad at Spencer for even coming up with the idea of Ashley being her mistress….here Ashley said she had changed and Spencer says something retarded like that, and I am pissed at Ashley for fucking up the one good thing in her life…Spencer can’t marry Rachel…she knows that it will never last, and its unfair to Rachel for Spencer to stay in a relationship she is not committed to….something needs to give….PMS…Awesome Update
