I shoot Kelly a questioning look as she takes me over to the shower Ashley and Gage are in, but her attention is also on Jess, Sara’s too.
I hear Gage mumbling and my attention snaps to the shower in front of me, Ashley’s shower. The curtain is drawn and Sara pulls it away. Gage is kneeling over Ashley, fingers at her pulse, eyes on her watch, cell to her ear.
Gage: “Yeah, mom…okay….okay….we will. Thank you. I will. Love you…okay, bye.” She clicks off her phone and places it next to her before she stands and turns to us and I feel Sara leave my side and go to Ashley. “Kell, I’ll need you to make a run, can you do it?”
Kelly: “Of course.”
Gage: “Okay. I need you to go…” I’m not even listening. The sound has been swallowed up as I stare down at the pale and unconscious form of Ashley lying on her side on the floor of the shower stall. Her clothes, like mine, are soaked. Her hair has been pulled back. Her face is slacked. And her mouth is open.
Sara is sitting beside her, stroking her hair and mumbling things to her. But I hear none of it. I just stand, stock-still at I stare at my girlfriend, my love, my Ashley.
Gage: “Spencer!” I snap my attention to the girl in front of me. Kelly is gone. Jess is sitting on the other side of Ashley and Gage’s hands are softly resting on my shoulders. “You okay?” She looks concerned again. I let my gaze drift back to Ashley as I nod. “Maybe you should sit down again.” I shake her off and take a step towards Ashley’s shower.
Spencer: “Why aren’t you taking her to the hospital?” I ask as I take in each of Ashley’s features; she looks so bad…
Gage: “Spence?”
Spencer: “What?” I ask distractedly.
Gage: “Let’s sit down.” She guides me to the bathroom floor but my eyes don’t leave my girlfriend. I watch the slow rise and fall of her chest and find my own breathing with hers. “We don’t need to take her to the hospital. They can’t do anything we can’t do and Ashley hates hospitals. More than that…” I watch as Gage searches for the right words. “As far as I can tell, she wasn’t given that much GHB. But the alcohol in her system made the effects much worse. It probably hit her within ten to fifteen minutes…” I crawl over to Ashley and feel the fingertips of her cold hand and trace her palm gently. Oh, Ashley.

Ah, amazing as usual! I know that she put her in the hospital and everything and that’s horrible, but is it wrong that I totally internally cheered when Spencer kicked Samantha’s ass? Cause I did. And the dykey cop? I was cracking up.

okay wow spencer has got a lot of support for getting out of that mess, kind of sucks the cops think sam is lying about her attacker but than again it gets the bitch out of the school yay…so glad the principal is making spencer get counsiling and i so hope that plane ticket is to ohio and that all her roommates go with her cuz that will rock pms
omg this was an awesome chapter. i love how everyone came together to help save Spencer’s ass. So is spence going to Ohio to face her demons. can’t wait for the next post. PMS

Spencer has come a long way – she couldn’t defend herself before but she was totally there for Ashley! Albeit a little bit out-of-control. Cleeden has totally redeemed himself in my eyes! I was afraid that Spencer would have to go to jail. Of all the scenarios, I expected never the quick cover-up, alibis, getting all the stories straight … Somehow, I don’t feel sorry for Sam, she’s evil! I always love how Spencer recounts her stories- she like, turns into this total, like, valley girl. And where is she headed? Ready to face her ghosts, I hope?

That was wicked amazing b. Like seriously I have been in wack crisis situations like that and everyone is moving and doing shit and a few people are wasted or confused. And oh my fuck principal fucking cleeden for the epic win! I love how hes so protective over his trouble making lesbos. Ugh i love this story so hard. You are amazing. The way you write drunk Spencer is hilarious and still my favorite but lying to the authorities Spencer is a close second! I may need your address because the panties I’m wearing, right now, belong to you.

Yep, intense was the first word that came to mind after reading that. I was on the edge of my seat all the way through. I was thinking that the girls would have to use their influence at a higher level than the Principle (maybe they did?) but the fact the two teachers helped out was cool. I also thought they way Spencer played the police officers was funny….heck, who could resist a sweet, innocent Spencer??. Totally Awesome!!

woah, so overwhelming! You know what i sensed…? that even though things were pretty messy everyone seemed to keep their cool and not engaging panic-mode. I don’t think the situation could hv been handled any better than it was. And YOU wrote it really well, I mean, u managed to get my heart racing really really fast from beginning to end… I was in the edge of my seat the whole time wondering when the s**t would hit the fan for Spencer and the cops would take her, and the thought of Ash dying crossed my mind… glad things turned out ‘fine’.oh and thanks for commenting on my story, I didn’t know you read my stuff ;)
