Spencer: “I do want to go, I just…” I look anywhere but at Ashley and she catches my chin in her hand for me to look at her and I do but with what I’m sure is a guilty expression.
Ashley: “Spence, it will only be for a few days and then I’ll see you for New Years. You’ll take Gage’s car to the airport, her jet will pick you up, and I’ll see you there.” I’m pouting a little so she places a kiss on my lips. “Knock it off, we’ll be fine.” She finishes with a smile.
Spencer: “Are you really going to beat the shit out of Sam?”
Ashley: “Absolutely, that is nonnegotiable.”
Spencer: “Ash…”
Ashley: “Nonnegotiable, Spence! I am so sick of her shit! This something I should have done a long time ago!”
Spencer: “But beat the shit out of her? Can’t you just…I don’t know, write her a strongly worded email? Oooh or put ice cubes in her bed?! It’s not fun to have ice cubs in your bed.” I say with a grin she matches.
Ashley: “I’ll think about it.” We stare at each other for a moment before Bobbo pops is head between the white curtains that separate the room from the hallway.
Bobbo: “We ready to finish that tattoo?” He asks as his lips pull on a straw that sits in his beer.
Ashley: “Whenever you’re ready.” We all take our previous positions, minus a still absent Rebecca who will be walking home because she’s on ‘team Sam,’ and I hold Ashley’s hand as Bobbo finishes the tattoo.
Even without the blindfold I can’t make out what Ashley is getting done, but it is on the back of her neck, below her other tattoo that reads ‘Lost.’ Bobbo cleans and bandages the area as he rattles off about cleaning procedure.
Ashley pays the man, we all say our goodbyes, and make our way back to the car, unfortunately with Rebecca or ‘Team Sam!’ with us. Well in punishment she’s sitting bitch!
We all separate once we get back to Marshall Daniel’s. Ashley and I spend a few minutes in an empty hallway of the ghost town to harp more on Sam’s plotting ways. I guess we got kind of carless in all our bitching, however, and forgot to clean up our wet footprints. We were reminded of this when we both fell hard on our asses and heard the sardonic laugh of Janitor Amie somewhere in the distance as we lay in a puddle of slippery water. We weren’t so forgetful after that.

whoa.. so NEVER LOOKING AT A CONFESSIONAL THE SAME EVER EVER EVER AGAIN..great up date as usual , cant wait for SD! i thought it was funny how Principal Pimp spoke to them about the observatory and church. Love the Tat idea makes me wanna get another now :)
Whenever you update, my first instinct is to gobble it up and speed read until I get to the end. I then rein myself in, read slowly and savor each word… and how! I always run through the gamut of emotions in each of your chapters, that is what makes you such a fabulous writer. As I was reading Spencer say “…write her a strongly worded email?” I had just taken a sip of my coffee and I almost spit it out – that really cracked me up! Then when Spencer saw Ashley’s tattoo that pulled at my heartstring and just made me sigh. Don’t even get me started on the confessional scene! You are a GENIUS!!!

I’ve only admitted this to one other person but I to was caught having sex in a confessional. The gift of going to Catholic School. I love your stories and cant wait for the update for SD. So keep em coming

ok, all gushing aside, since you already know how much i love you :), i will tell you what i specifically loved about this installment: i loved the “dulcissima.” i googled it right away and actually ended up seeing a video on youtube of a song by that title. it was… inspiring and captivating. i now want to learn latin more than ever :) i also love how ashley goes toe-to-toe with spencer in their flirting, but then unexpectedly admits defeat with a sincere remark that shows the depth of her love for spencer. she does this throughout the story and it really reveals her true character. i agree with taymm15- i would love to practice a little “weird science” and make me an ashley :) and like keepXmeXawake, i find myself reading slowly and repeatedly, reveling in the emotions of every scene. thanks again for another great post :) i dont know how near it is, but im already starting to dread the end of this story :( and jus so you know- if it were a book, id totally buy it :D
if I still went to church I would totally never look at that damn booth the same way EVER AGAIN! holy fucking shit that was brilliant. I was reading it going “they’re so doing in in the confessional aren’t they?” and sure enough! loved the tat addition. so adorable. lol fav line “This green bean casserole thingy is banging, Marge!” you have no idea how hard I laughed thru this entire update! then the ending?!?!? now that’s one hell of a gift! freaking brilliant! pms!

Okay I don’t know if it’s just me, but I want to see some drama like earlier in this story. But AMAZING update, like always. You definitely know how to make the reader feel like they’re there.
It was 3.45am here when I saw you’d posted…did it stop me reading. Hell no! I didn’t have the energy to comment tho’ so I’m back for seconds. What can I say that hasn’t been said before? I think I’ll just stick with ‘you’re a fucking god’ for now! I cannot believe how much sex these two have. I’m so jealous! The tattoo was touching and the revelation about Ash’s writing prowess gives her yet another level. Hmmm, I do enjoy stroking your ego!
