    Christmas

    I rip the blindfold off my eyes and jump to my feet to see Ashley standing over Angela’s chair with both of her hands gripping the armrests and her face inches from the petrified freshman’s.

    Angela: “I…I…?” She looks questioningly over at the remaining three girls but they all look just as lost and helpless.

    Spencer: “Ash…” I say firmly as I bring my hand to her arm. She looks over at me, her eyes blazing and her mouth set. But once our eyes meet, the fire starts to dim a little as she stands and relaxes a bit. “Angela, what did Sam tell you?” I ask calmly.

    Justin and Bobbo mumble something about ‘the books,’ and leave the six of us alone in the tiny space. Ashley is still breathing deeply so I maneuver myself under her arm and she rests it across my shoulders as I slowly caress her stomach.

    Angela: “She didn’t say anything to me,” She begins in a small voice. “I just…heard things…” Ashley starts to say something but I stall her with a squeeze on her side.

    Spencer: “And what did you ‘hear?” Again she looks to her friends for help and then briefly looks at the still slightly fuming Ashley. “It’s okay, Angela I can control Ashley.” I end with a small smirk. Ashley looks at me and rolls her eyes, however the corners of her mouth twitch slightly.

    Angela: “I heard that you and Sam, um, slept together the night after the auction…” She trails off in a whisper. At the mention of ‘slept,’ Ashley’s body tensed up and a snarl formed on her lips. Again she went to say something but I cut her off.

    Spencer: “Thank you for telling me, Angela, however you were misinformed.”

    Ashley: “I’m going to fucking kill that bitch!” She muttered under her breath as she stares off at some remote location. “I knew she wouldn’t let it go, I knew it!” The venom in her voice causes a shiver to quake through each of the young girls as she broke from our contact to pace the length of the room. I however, was immune. More curious and confused than anything.

    Spencer: “I don’t understand,” I say turning to look at Ashley. “Why didn’t we hear about this?”

    1. whoa.. so NEVER LOOKING AT A CONFESSIONAL THE SAME EVER EVER EVER AGAIN..great up date as usual , cant wait for SD! i thought it was funny how Principal Pimp spoke to them about the observatory and church. Love the Tat idea makes me wanna get another now :)

    2. Whenever you update, my first instinct is to gobble it up and speed read until I get to the end. I then rein myself in, read slowly and savor each word… and how! I always run through the gamut of emotions in each of your chapters, that is what makes you such a fabulous writer. As I was reading Spencer say “…write her a strongly worded email?” I had just taken a sip of my coffee and I almost spit it out – that really cracked me up! Then when Spencer saw Ashley’s tattoo that pulled at my heartstring and just made me sigh. Don’t even get me started on the confessional scene! You are a GENIUS!!!

    4. I’ve only admitted this to one other person but I to was caught having sex in a confessional. The gift of going to Catholic School. I love your stories and cant wait for the update for SD. So keep em coming

    8. ok, all gushing aside, since you already know how much i love you :), i will tell you what i specifically loved about this installment: i loved the “dulcissima.” i googled it right away and actually ended up seeing a video on youtube of a song by that title. it was… inspiring and captivating. i now want to learn latin more than ever :) i also love how ashley goes toe-to-toe with spencer in their flirting, but then unexpectedly admits defeat with a sincere remark that shows the depth of her love for spencer. she does this throughout the story and it really reveals her true character. i agree with taymm15- i would love to practice a little “weird science” and make me an ashley :) and like keepXmeXawake, i find myself reading slowly and repeatedly, reveling in the emotions of every scene. thanks again for another great post :) i dont know how near it is, but im already starting to dread the end of this story :( and jus so you know- if it were a book, id totally buy it :D

    9. if I still went to church I would totally never look at that damn booth the same way EVER AGAIN! holy fucking shit that was brilliant. I was reading it going “they’re so doing in in the confessional aren’t they?” and sure enough! loved the tat addition. so adorable. lol fav line “This green bean casserole thingy is banging, Marge!” you have no idea how hard I laughed thru this entire update! then the ending?!?!? now that’s one hell of a gift! freaking brilliant! pms!

    16. Okay I don’t know if it’s just me, but I want to see some drama like earlier in this story. But AMAZING update, like always. You definitely know how to make the reader feel like they’re there.

    17. It was 3.45am here when I saw you’d posted…did it stop me reading. Hell no! I didn’t have the energy to comment tho’ so I’m back for seconds. What can I say that hasn’t been said before? I think I’ll just stick with ‘you’re a fucking god’ for now! I cannot believe how much sex these two have. I’m so jealous! The tattoo was touching and the revelation about Ash’s writing prowess gives her yet another level. Hmmm, I do enjoy stroking your ego! Ah, knew I’d forgotten something…I’m looking forward to the confrontation with Sam…coniving bitch! p.s Thanks for the comments!
