Los Angeles Breeds Forbidden Love – (Chapter: Six- Better Left Unsaid)
“That was it… God, I was so upset…” Ashley spoke, almost to herself as she recalled the event. As she watched Spencer, she found herself contemplating why Sarah had been looking around in the first place. Here was this beautiful girl, faithful as could be, who was romantic and generous, and Sarah was sleeping around. Oddly enough, she was finding herself angry with Sarah over this whole mess.
Spencer snapped out of her thoughts rather abruptly as she realized who she was talking to here. This wasn’t a person she should be having a civil conversation with, this was a person she should be throwing blunt object at. Quickly regaining her composure, she took a step away from the brunette, her hand reaching out towards the door, “You should go.”
She looked a little startled, although she wasn’t objecting this time. Moving backwards a few inches she gave a nod, her arms crossing over her stomach, “Alright… It was nice meeting you… I guess….” Ashley was never one to feel awkward or at a loss for words, but at the moment nothing could describe her better.
Taken aback, Spencer blinked a few times, “Yeah, you too. Bye.” She shut the door quickly, her nimble fingers twisting the lock as she pressed her body against the wood. If anyone would have told her this would happen, she would have never believed them. Glancing through the peephole, she watched the distorted shape of Ashley meander over to her car then pull away.
“Whatcha looking at?” The voice of Glen nearly propelled her to the ceiling like a cat in one of those old cartoons. Whirling around to face him, she deflated considerably once she saw the familiar face.
“Jesus, you scared me.” She breathed out, her hand rubbing her forehead as she brushed past him. She decided against sharing her little unexpected visitor. If she did, then Glen would want to talk about it, and she had honestly nothing to say.
“Jesus didn’t scare you. I did.” Glen spoke, looking amused as he quoted some film he’d seen recently. The blonde girl merely rolled her eyes as she sunk into the leather couch, her arm covering her eyes. Today was the most active she’d been in a while, and to say she felt drained would be an understatement.
