I Could Never Forget About You – (Chapter: A date night?)

“Ah, now see…that I can’t tell you.” I eyes dart up with anger.

“What? Then why would you bring it up?” I ask through clenched teeth. I don’t know why this bothers me so much, but It’s really annoying me.

“Because this conversation was headed nowhere…and fast.” He’s right, but like I said before every conversation I have seems to go out the window.

“Yeah, well I’m not really in the mood to chat.” I sink back into my seat, crossing my arms in front of my chest.

“What’s wrong?” He’s humoring me right? I snort, then begin my rant.

“Well lets see…this morning somewhat thought it would be funny to take the leash off my dog…and then—“

“Spencer, you don’t have a dog.” He interrupts. He’s not understanding, any person would figure out it’s Ashley that’s on my mind.

But of course he’s a boy, and boy’s are well…stupid.

“Aiden, I haven’t seen Ashley all week…how the hell do you think I feel?” Okay that came out a little harsh, but it’s the truth.

“Ah, so this is about Ashley.” He says nonchalantly.

“That’s what I said.” I reply, still playing with the rim of my mug.

“Okay, okay…no need to be all testy.” Have I been testy? Hmm, I haven’t really noticed.

“I’m sorry okay…its just…when we were at the carnival…” I can’t believe I’m going to tell him this.

“Go on…” He pushes lightly as he places his elbows on the table, ready to listen intently.

“We almost kissed.” I say quietly, like it’s some sort of secret.

“Uh huh…” He brings his index finger to his chin, scratching it lightly.

                    “What?” I ask.

                    “Nothing…nothing.” That’s definitely nothing.

“No not nothing, what?” I ask impatiently.

“What do you mean almost kissed?” He asks. Do I really have to explain, I mean it’s practically self explanatory.

“I’m not going through this with you Aiden.”

“What? Why not?” He pouts. Luckily for me, his pout does nothing.

                    “Because…it’s weird.” I mean, isn’t it?
