“Spence… meet our daughter.” Spencer’s eyes teared up again as she looked over at Ashley.
“We have a daughter?”
“We have a daughter.” Ashley leaned in and kissed her softly as she wrapped her arms around her two favorite girls. The women sat there staring at their new addition until the doctor and nurses were finished cleaning Spencer up a bit, and left the room. They sat in silence except for soft whimpers and cries until the door opened and Paula and Arthur stepped through the door.
“Hey guys.” Arthur whispered as he approached the bed, Paula was right behind him. “So… what’s the verdict? Boy or girl?” Arthur’s smile was so close to engulfing his face as he leaned in and kissed Spencer on her forehead and then Ashley on her’s. Ashley smiled as she turned to Spencer
“It’s a girl.” Arthur kept smiling as he leaned in and kisses her on the forehead as well.
“Well kid, you just tipped the scale. The girls out weigh the men… we cant have that now can we.” He looked over at Ashley with a sly grin. “So when is it your turn?” Ashley just stared back, mouth open, trying to speak, but she was at a loss of words.
“I… I uh, we um… huh?” Arthur couldn’t take it anymore and burst out laughing along with Spencer.
“Ashley I’m just kidding. One at a time is hard enough. But don’t think I’m not waiting for a boy.” He pointed at Ashley who finally relaxed and smiled back.
“Don’t do that to me.” Ashley lightly punched him in the arm.
“Mom? You gonna come say hi to your granddaughter?” Spencer held the baby up for the older blonde to see. Paula slowly walked towards the girls and looked down at the baby. “Do you want to hold her?”
“I thought it was my turn?” Ashley said a little bit annoyed that she hasn’t gotten to hold her daughter yet. But the look in Spencer’s eyes told her to let it go. “Okay, fine.” Paula slightly smiled as she took the girl from Spencer’s arms, cradling her against her body. She rocked back and forth. Tears finally fell from her eyes as she smiled the biggest she’s smile she’s done in years. Everyone in the room smiled as Paula melt in front of their eyes.

I cant believe Paula! She’s going to miss out on her daughter and granddaughters life cause she’s so close minded! And pulling that stunt with Scott…not cool. I’m so glad they got through it though! And Spencer told her to leave! I really love this story, its so much more in depth about the girls and their lives together! PMS!

First of all, thanks for the long update. Secondly, this chapter had every emotion imaginable, joy of a beautiful baby girl, laughter when Spencer was squeezing Ashley’s hand, anger when Paula brought Scott into the picture, hatred just because Paula exists, and sheer happiness because Spencer & Ashley have now begun the journey of parenthood with the one they love. Excellent writing! PMS

OK FYI I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE NAME MY DAUGHTER’S NAME IS CADENCE ANNE AND I WANTED SOOO BAD TO NAME HER KENNEDY BUT WE DIDN’T AGREE SO WE ENDED UP NAMING HER CADENCE BUT DAAAAAAAAAAMN I LOVE THAT NAME SO MUCH.
