“Would you like to hold her?” Spencer smiled up at him, and he gave a relieved grin back as he nodded and took the child into his arms. A few moments of silence passed when the door opened again revealing a calmed Ashley. She didn’t say anything as walked over to Spencer kissing her on the temple and taking her position on the bed. Spencer smiled as she leaned into her.
“Ashley, you have a beautiful daughter.” Ashley smiled at him. Silently thanking him for the reassurance.
“Yes, she is. She looks just like Spencer.”
“Okay, well I better get going. I know of a few more people in the waiting room that are just dying to see this one.” Scott handed the baby back over to Ashley and smiled as the squirmy child instantly went still and fell asleep. “Now that’s impressive.” Scott joked as he walked out the door. The family took turns coming in since there were only allowed to be two at a time. Next were Clay and Chelsea, then Glen and Kyla, and then Spencer’s grandparents on her dad’s side. After the last were gone, a nurse came in.
“Alright you two, lets feed this little one so that mama can get some rest.” The nurse came over and helped the baby latch onto Spencer’s breast, sucking greedily.
“This feels so weird.” Spencer said through a slight giggle.
“You’ll get used to it. But I know what you mean. When by son was born, took me a while to get used to it as well.” The girls just smiled as they watched the newborn eat. “So, have you two decided on a name?”
“I don’t know, I’ve got a list and so does she. Ash…”
“I’m on it.” Ashley was already off the bed and ruffling through the bag before Spencer even finished her sentence. She had been waiting so long to show Spencer her list of names. And to see what Spencer had come up with. When she came back to the bed she had two sealed envelopes in her hands. One said Ashley, the other Spencer. She handed Spencer her envelope and she opened Spencer’s. They both sat there reading over the lists. Ashley smiled as she saw one name that she had also put on her list. She looked over at the baby in her wife’s arms and thought. Spencer saw her smile as she watched their daughter happily sucking away. Spencer had also seen the matching name and smiled at the child in her arms.
“Looks like we’ve got her name.” Spencer smiled at Ashley as she nodded in agreement. The nurse looked at them confused.
“That quickly? Don’t you want to discuss it?” They both shook their heads.
“No need.” Ashley said as she leaned down and kissed the little head that was now sleeping again. “Welcome to the family…” She leaned back up and looked at Spencer. “Kennedy Anne Davies.” Spencer nodded as she watched the nurse write the name onto a small bracelet and place it around the small girl’s wrist.
“Ok Kennedy, let’s get you to the nursery so you mamas can get some rest.” Spencer sighed as she leaned back into the bed after the nurse took Kennedy from her. Ashley watched the lady walk towards the door.
“Actually can I come with you?” Ashley looked over at Spencer a little worried that she wouldn’t want her to, but let out a breath when the blonde smiled. The nurse nodded and so Ashley kissed Spencer on the lips telling her she would be back soon then followed the nurse down to the nursery.

AWWW…that was just so precious=) I’m so glad that you updated hon. Paula will forever be the SHE DEVIL!! I’m glad Spencer finally put her in her place. Hopefully that’s the last time we see of her. PMNOW!! Pretty please!

I cant believe Paula! She’s going to miss out on her daughter and granddaughters life cause she’s so close minded! And pulling that stunt with Scott…not cool. I’m so glad they got through it though! And Spencer told her to leave! I really love this story, its so much more in depth about the girls and their lives together! PMS!

First of all, thanks for the long update. Secondly, this chapter had every emotion imaginable, joy of a beautiful baby girl, laughter when Spencer was squeezing Ashley’s hand, anger when Paula brought Scott into the picture, hatred just because Paula exists, and sheer happiness because Spencer & Ashley have now begun the journey of parenthood with the one they love. Excellent writing! PMS
