Everything Changes After Spending 7 Months Apart – (Chapter: You've got me going back and forth like a ping pong ball!)
Days had been passing very slowly and my heart was sinking with them every day with their passing. Ashley and I were still talking. It may have been shitty to make love like that and then tell me it couldn’t happen again, but she isn’t enough of a bitch to completely ditch out afterward.
Get a hold of yourself, Spencer. She obviously didn’t mean it when she said she loved you! My mind shouts into the silence of my empty room.
But I know she meant it. She had to mean it. I’ve known her for long enough to know. I’ve had sex with her enough to know that this time was different. Even still, I promised her that I wouldn’t let it happen again. Her self control is nonexistent.
And you think yours is?
Note to self: Seek help for the voices in my head; anything to shut it up.
The last few days we talked less than we did before. Maybe she was scared. Maybe now she is experiencing emotions too strong and doesn’t know how to handle it. Eureka! She’s just scared is all!
Don’t get your hopes up.
But I have to come to term with the facts. I’m now completely single. It isn’t that I don’t have options. I have many options. The thing about being a whore for a couple months, you end up with a lot of people wanting to date you. Hey, I never said I was proud of it. Most of the people that want to be with me are just as bad as I was. I don’t have the heart to just tell them no. So I fake a smile and change the subject whenever they mention an “us”.
Your real reason for not dating them is simple. They aren’t Ashley Davies.
Maybe that voice, annoying voice at that, was right. Ever since I met her I’ve never been able to maintain a stable relationship. Her jealousy disallows her to like any of my girlfriends. Her jealousy disallows any of my girlfriends to like her.
On this particular night though, as I lay in bed staring at the empty space next to me, I realize that being lonely is never what I wanted to be. I want someone in my bed at night. I want someone to wrap my arms around. I want someone to make love to. I’ve only ever done that with one person though…

first off, I applaud you for writing about what’s going on with your situation right now. second, I’m truly enjoying this. I can understand a lot of what you’re going through, as I’m sure a lot of us on here can. I can especially relate to the ‘voice’. there’s no getting rid of it! I’ll be keeping an eye out for future updates, that’s for sure. and I wish you luck!
