Circles and Circles 2 (Part one of… some) – (Chapter: Never gonna let you go (Part two of… some))

“Then I guess I’ll keep going tonight,” Spencer parried. “Maybe.”

    “Tease!”

They did eventually set off. Spencer couldn’t tell where they were going; she had no idea what direction they were going in. She could barely tell north from south at the best of times and in the dark she was completely lost. She sat back against the passenger seat and let Ashley drive her. As they hit the open road, she slid her hand across, running her fingers over her girlfriends hand and entangling their fingers together. She chanced a loving smile at the beautiful curly haired brunette, and was rewarded with one back, brief as Ashley returned her eyes to the road. Spencer felt her heart fill with love.

It was so late when the car pulled up that Spencer was fast asleep, her hand still entwined with Ashley’s. They pulled up, and the loosening of her grip woke the blonde up. Sleepily she looked up. They were driving up a long gravel path towards a dark house set on a hill. There were no trees around, and the verandah’d house looked stark against the angry sky. Spencer could hear the sea, whipped in to a frenzy by a descending storm crashing against the cliffs on the coast behind her. She sat up, head a little fuzzy.

“Where are we” she yawned, “Do you own this place?”

“Nope, belongs to a friend of mine” said Ashley, steering the car safely into the u shaped drive in front of the house. “It’s really getting stormy out there, we’d better get inside.”

Ashley threw Spencer the keys and went to grab the bags. Spencer let herself in. The house was big, and windows were floor to ceiling. Through them, Spencer could see the ocean wild as lightening flashed outside. She heard the front door bang closed as Ashley made it in, her hair glistening with the first raindrops as the storm outside took flight. The brunette dumped the bags on the floor and came to stand behind Spencer as she stood in the living room, watching the show nature was putting on outside through the huge glass windows. Ashley wound her hands around her girlfriends waist and pulled her back into an embrace. For minutes they stood, in silence.

    3. Oh my how sweet. Awwwwwwwww. You should continue this story. Even after part 3. I want to see how they are doing after they get married. If they have children. And where life takes them. This is a great story and needs to be shared with all of us on here.

    5. ::sniff!:: Love it! Love the fluff! ::sings:: We love the fluff! Gotta have that fluff!! AWWWWW…:: Sorry. I’m a little out of it. I’m really freaking hungover and I feel like my eardrums have been filled with hot lead. And despite that horrible burning pain, I still loved the fic! Speaking of which, Jesus rode by to say hey. He was happily going to ring his little bell, but due to my current state, I told him that if he even DARED dinging one tiny little ding that I would shove his bell in a very inappropriate location. So he left. In a huff, I might add. I think he went surfing in Kaui…

    7. Oh and on a side note (now that I’m thinking clearly and no longer in horrible pain): You can never be guilty of overposting (and that goes for you, too, bannerman!). You both are simply causing my morning productivity at work to diminish by a startling degree. Luckily, I have a bevy of med students who are completely under my control so I can set them out on a variety of tasks while I bask in the glory of your ficdom. And then feel horribly guilty. :( Actually, no. I’m not that bad. And work’s been really slow, so I’ve enjoyed the distraction. :)
