    A Vampire's Lament – (Chapter: 7-Confrontation)

"We have visitors and I don’t think they’ll run away this time around." She said. Evana turned her head as we could see through the crack of the door and she didn’t have to move much to swing it open.

We were exposed to the two young women and because of their pale skin, their bruises and cuts were easily noticeable. "Still think I murdered Misty and Gabrielle out of jealousy, do you? I guess my story was never included in that silly family legend." She stated loudly, obviously irritated with my nerves and frustration.

I was caught off guard when she said this but this would have to be saved for another time.

"Where has my family gone off?" Spencer asked, wiping away a tear. Arial was deeply intrigued by Spencer’s presence but didn’t jump the gun unlike last time. "Didn’t you receive our warning through your phone? They were stunned like criminals and were taken to Ohio by the werewolves. Does that place hold any special meaning to you?" Arial asked, gazing at Spencer with proper intent.

Spencer’s fierce gaze never left her and nodded. "What do you need us for? I remember our last encounter I wrongfully ignored you but our werewolf friend Aiden told us about the war and this unknown scientist guy’s intentions." I say, stepping forward.

We were interrupted by sirens in the background and people were trying to break in the front door. A smile crept upon Evana’s face and took a bow. "We are honored to be in your presence now that you know a little bit about the war. But to be safe, we need to get out of here and we’ll explain everything to the both of you. I promise." She said, Arial giving her an approving look.

I glance at Spencer and she seemed to have read my mind. "There’s a patio in my parents’ room so we can get to the car without raising suspicions. The backyard is unoccupied and the fences are high enough to cover our tracks." She said, walking away without saying anything else.

I can’t believe I’m in the presence of two powerful immortals. Now that Evana mentioned her story in the "silly" family legend, maybe I’ll finally understand her change of heart.
