    A Vampire's Lament – (Chapter: 1-The Last Sunrise)

It was 6:00 P.M. and it seems to me that I have slept an hour later than usual. "Yeah, it was that stupid dream again. I don’t know why I have it anymore. It’s been the same thing for over two hundred years now and it’s still disturbing." I say quietly as I look back at my beloved sister.

She smiled innocently and threw her arms around me as usual. "It’s okay, Ash. It’s like what Judith said, it’s always difficult for fledglings to forget their succumbing." Kyla assured me. I sighed and hugged her tightly in my arms.

I’m so glad that we did survive that night, and I was ever so thankful for Odette and Judith’s unconditional love and loyalty to us. When I do have that painfully depressing dream, I cry in my sleep because I can see, feel and hear Kyla’s misery when she was bitten. It hurts me terribly to replay those images in my mind because I hate it when I see my sister in pain.

She deserves nothing but love and that’s what I intend to give her for the rest of our immortal lives.

As for my mother and father, I don’t remember much of them anymore but the love that our mom showed us that night helps me cherish my life even more. I don’t need memories of them though. We have our masters Odette and Judith who take care of us and it’s been that way ever since they took us away from the attack a little over two hundred years ago.

"Where’s Judith and Odette? I want to speak with them about the dream." I say when Kyla and I finally release each other from the sisterly embrace. Kyla blushed a deep pink color and scratched her head awkwardly. "Erm…they’re in their chamber…and they don’t want to be disturbed if you know what I mean." She replied shyly. For some odd reason, I blush too.

I mean, I know they’ve been same-sex lovers for as long as we’ve known them and it’s no big deal but at the same time, I sort of get turned on by the idea of vampire love making. It’s hot! Especially when I see those two together, I see long-lasting faith, true love, and amazing loyalty. It’s beautiful and it makes the relationship even hotter.
