Ashley was taken aback but did not have time to respond as they both heard a terrible noise outside the front porch.

"ARRRGH! DAMN YOU IN HELL, YOU UNGODLY CREATURES! GAHH!" a terrified man screamed outside before there was a thud on the porch outside. Ashley looked back at her mother and she felt her chest squeeze her heart uncomfortably in fear.

"Your father is going to die…I must stand by him and help. Ashley, do as I say and leave, please. No matter what happens in the next five minutes, just know that I love you and it will carry on with you for as long as you and Kyla live." With that being said, the woman turned her back on her oldest daughter and ran for the door.

This would be the last time they ever spoke but this realization would not settle the girl just yet. Ashley ran up the stairs with hopes of her parents’ triumph over the creatures attacking their family.

When the brave girl reached the second floor, she found the door to Kyla’s room ajar. "Kyla? Are you ready? We must leave in haste, sweet sister." Ashley called out lovingly to her.

"ASHLEY!" a shrill voice screamed from the room. In a panic, Ashley kicked the door fully open with a metal pole in hand and what she saw horrified her. There was a pale figure standing before her helpless sister as blood gushed out of his mouth. When the curly haired brunette entered, he flashed a horrible smile revealing two abnormally sharp teeth sticking out longer than the rest of his aligned teeth.

"This your baby sister, pretty girl? How precious…you’re even more attractive than she…prepare for death!" the inhuman man hissed as he steadied himself for a leap. Ashley didn’t think twice as she gripped the metal weapon in her hand and swung it at the horrible creature.

It was as though she hit a wall because when it hit her target, there was a metallic sound that spread throughout the entire room. She dropped the weapon as quickly as she could when she felt it vibrate violently in her grip. The beast turned his head with annoyance written in his facial expression. "Silly human trash…you will pay for that!"
