When Dana said she was going to get ready for the party at 10 am, she wasn’t kidding. She had finally picked out an outfit by 1 pm and the jewellery to match. But hanging around her apartment thinking about what she was going to do/say/talk about on the night was making her even more nervous.

Shane’s words echoed in the back of her mind ‘Stop making such a big deal out of it!’

Exercise always helped relieve tension for Dana, whether it be tennis, running or sex. The latter not an option at the moment as she didn’t have a girlfriend and was too much of a prude to own any sex toys, she settled for a run.

Actually, more of a brisk walk..nope, just standing still.

Dana spotted Lara working behind the counter at The Planet, flashing that dazzling smile of hers to lucky customers.

She always played the ‘what if?’ game when she thought about Lara. What if she had chose Lara to be her first real girlfriend instead of running away? What if they had been great together?

The one thing she did know was that if she had ended up with Lara, her bedroom wouldn’t have looked like an explosion at Fred Segal trying to find something to impress Alice with.

“Hey! Dana!” Lara snapped Dana out of her thoughts. But only for a second.

‘Should I go in there? Wait, why am I even thinking that? Lara’s my friend, of course I am!’

“An iced tea, pronto!” Lara hollered back to the employees as Dana entered The Planet.

“Oh don’t worry about me, other customers were here first.” Dana felt a little uncomfortable pushing in.

“Well,” Lara smiled suggestively at Dana, “Other customers don’t get the same treatment from me that you do.”

Cue the red face. It annoyed her when that happened, Dana longed to be able to say or even take sexy comments like that without thinking, or turning into the stammering mess she always did.

Lara joined Dana with two iced teas at a table. The red head didn’t mind being caught staring at Dana’s exposed stomach due to her midriff jogging top. Lara thought for Dana to get the message she wanted to give it another try, she’d have to rip it right off of her there and then.
