Hold A Place For Me CH.3

    Previously……………………..

Tina slipped off her shoes then sat on the edge of the bed and sighed. She laid down and pulled the comforter up close to her chin and let a tear slip down her cheek. Alice crept quietly into the room and slipped under the blanket. She laid there next to Tina’s shivering frame.

Alice: “Are you sure you’re ok?”

Tina wiped the tears from her face and forced the crying to stop, “Yeah, I’m fine.”

Alice could sense the hurt and loneliness in her friend’s voice. She rolled over and wrapped her arms tightly around Tina, “Is this ok?”

Tina: “Yeah….Alice, I’m sorry about earlier, I really don’t know what I was thinking. I didn’t mean anything by it.”

    Alice: “I know you didn’t”

Tina: “I don’t want it to change us.”

    Alice: “It won’t…I promise.”

    Tina: “Well, goodnight.”

Alice hugged Tina and kissed the back of her head, “Goodnight.”

    Chapter 3……………………………………

Bette paced the living room floor trying to decide what she should do. She was worried about Tina. She had called her cell 20 times and left 7 messages since the previous night. The phone stopped ringing after her third call and started going directly to voice mail. This was not a good sign. This was definitely bad because it meant Tina had turned the phone completely off. It was 7:00 am and Bette was near panic. She could accept Tina not wanting to talk to her, but they had been together 7 years, she could’ve at least let Bette know she was ok. Bette sat on the sofa, she threw the phone at the floor and let her head fall into her hands. She was kicking herself. She knew this was part of her punishment. On top of hating herself for ***** up and possibly losing the most important person in her life, she would now have to suffer the unknown. She hated not being in control. The worst scenarios seem to pop into her head, what if Tina had a car wreck? What if she tried to kill herself? What if she were mugged? Paranoia was the worst part of not knowing. As she sat and further tortured herself the phone started ringing. It was the most beautiful sound she’d ever heard. She pratically leapt onto the floor scrambling to grab it before she missed the call.

    1. Good update. Tina’s hiding out, but she can’t stay out of sight too long…just not possible. I hope Bette listened to Kit’s advice, because that’s the only way back to Tina. Please continue.

    2. Open the door and get the screaming over with. Bette should have never let her leave in the first place, course Tina should not have left. Nice choice of movie, you almost don’t recognize our T in it she was so young and butch
