    Tina and daddy talks.

    Chapter 49

     

    The day of the funeral:

    These last few days since Tina talked to her father had been hard on her. But luckily for Tina, Bette has been there. Sarah and Chris had come by to support her, and to tell her that they had talked to their father, and told him that he would loose them too, if he didn’t come around.

    They were now getting ready for the funeral.

    Bette was in the bathroom, doing her hair, while Tina is getting dressed in the bedroom. She put on her dress and then takes a seat on the bed. She bows her head down, one single tear, slips out.

    Bette walks in to the bedroom to get her shirt. She sees Tina sitting on the bed.

    “Baby? What’s wrong?” Bette says and kneels in front of her.

    Tina lifts her head a little to meet Bette’s eyes.

    “I’m so glad you you’re here with me, I’m so glad you didn’t listen to me.” She says softly.

    “It’s where I belong, right by your side, in every highs and lows the world decides to throw at us.” Bette says and gives her a little smile.

    “Yeah” Tina whispers, taking Bette’s hand up to her mouth and kiss her fingers.

    “Are you set?” Bette asks as she stands up.

    “Yeah, just my hair.” Tina says as she also stands up and walks into the bathroom. Bette follows.

    Tina starts to comb her hair. Bette takes a seat on the closed toilet. She watches her do her hair.

    “I talked to Lara yesterday. Jessie had done a great job.” Bette says and looks at Tina, through the mirror. Tina smiles.

    “Oh my God, I totally forgot about Jessie. She really did do a great job?” Tina asks, revealing a little smile.

    “Yeah, Lara said so.” Bette replies.

    “I should call her.” Tina says as she’s pinning up her hair.

    “Yeah.” Bette says, she stands up and walks towards Tina and slides her arms around her waist, she softly kiss Tina’s bare neck.

    Tina puts in the last hairpin, then turns around, leaning in for a sweet soft kiss.

    “I love you.” She says softly.

    “I love you too. Let’s go.” Bette says.

    Tina grabs her purse, and they leave. The car ride takes about 30 minutes, and when they park outside the church, Sarah also parks the car.

    1. that is a sweet story under sad circumstances. i am glad tina is making an effort to remain in ocntact with her dad. bette is so good for tina. they deserve some happiness.

    2. oh my..beautiful..im so glad papa kennard did this it means a lot to Tina..but he still have to change a lot of things..now give us some happy and love moments and wedding plains..lol..amazing chapter Lauren as always :o)

    3. Love this story, Lauren. Hope things keep going well, for the Kennards and one Ms. Bette Porter. Sad that Tina’s mom had passed, but for some it takes something tragic like this for them to put aside their petty differences and try to get along. I’ll be waiting for more posts.

    4. This story just keep getting better. Its too bad about Tina’s mom, but their is some comfort hopefully for Tina that she at least got to speak with her again. Her dad sounds like a tuff old man, who’s at least willing to give it a try and thats all you can really ask for. Now come on, wedding, golfing, sex, onward.

    6. Lauren…that was a sweet and sad chapter. Tina’s father seems to be a man of his word, so let’s hope he learns to accept Tina & Bette’s relationship. I’m glad Tina’s efforts to regain her family is working out for her. Bette is standing by Tina during this hard time and Tina loves her more for it. They should be happy…let’s hope they get some happiness soon. Thanks for the chapter…

    10. I have really been enjoying your story, but sometimes I am so pressed for time that I can’t stop to comment. I haven’t missed a chapter from the beginning though! I loved them all. This was a very sensitive one. I am glad Tina is standing up to her father. I hope he will learn to accept their relationship fully soon. Looking forward to what’s next. Post soon.
