No Longer Roommates, But Mates. – (Chapter: “Don’t You Trust Me?”)
Ch.4
Spencer’s POV:
Today’s my grad party. It’s being held at some restaurant near the beach that Ashley found. I was a bit nervous at the thought of breaking the news to my parents. My relatives were going to be there too. I think word had finally spread amongst my mom’s side quietly about how I had ‘turned gay.’ My mom isn’t as bad as she used to be, but she still resents Ashley’s presence in my life and acts as if I’m a total fool for ‘going gay.’ My dad is happy for me. He doesn’t care that Ashley’s a girl; he wants me to be happy, and seeing that Ashley completes me, he has no objections. Why my dad married my mom is a total mystery.
Ash drove us there a little late. When she pulled up, I could see everyone else was already there. There was music booming from speakers, and not to my surprise I saw Glen by them, changing the music. A banner read “Congrats, Grad!” “Well look who finally came.” My dad said, giving me a hug. I think my parents invited everyone from our entire family. I mingled with some friends and even ran into old childhood friends from Ohio. Ashley put her arms around my waist protectively the entire time. I felt kind of awkward, having it be obvious that I was gay in front of some people who had known me when I was a kid. Some of my childhood friends seemed uneasy about it; others didn’t care and treated me just the same. I think Ashley’s defiant stare kept anyone from making any negative comments about us. I introduced Ashley to everyone, including my relatives. “Hey Spencer! How’s my favorite niece?” “Hi Uncle Ben!” I cried cheerfully, running into his outstretched arms. “Oof! You’re too big to carry around anymore, Spencer.” He chuckled, ruffling my hair. Uncle Ben was my dad’s youngest sibling. “A doctor now, eh? I always knew you were sucha nerd.” He teased. “And who may this be?” he asked, looking up to see Ashley. “Oh. That’s Ashley.” I said, grinning up at him. “My…fiancé.” I whispered into his ear. His eyes widened and he gave a big laugh. “Really? Pleasure to meet you, Ashley…” “Davies.” she replied, shaking his hand with a smile on her face. “Don’t tell anyone yet, we haven’t broken the news to my parents.” I said. “Well then. Ashley Davies, you better take good care of my favorite niece, ya hear?” “Don’t worry, Mr. Carlin. I’m taking good care of her already.” Ashley replied, putting an arm around my waist. “Don’t let this one get away then, Spencer. She’s hot.” He said, winking. “I better find your Aunt May now. Congrats, you two.”

OMG! I was so mad when I read that Paula invited Aiden. She is so evil. It just made me want to scream. I was also mad at Spencer for agreeing to talk to him privately. I thought that it wasn’t right, especially without talk to Ashley first knowing that it would make her uncomfortable. She just didn’t say enough to her to reassure her before she went to talk to him. I would have felt like Ashley did too. Great stories…. Love them both, this and Roommates.
paula never gives up does she, and to bring aiden to spence’s party after seven years of no contact with out asking first was so mean…ashley reaction was so off, being that mad, sure i agree she should have kicked the guys ass for kissing her fiancee but to drive fast, drink and get mad a spence is not right…pms
yeah, cardinal sin here.. commenting oneself, but should i go off on a tangent and do a fanfic where Ashley’s some kind of superhero ?! or maybe it’s because i happen to have a fondness for smallville too ^^’
Paula is a sorry excuse for a human being if I’ve ever seen one. Aiden runs a close second in line for that title. I certainly hope Ashley can wholeheartedly trust Spencer, because a relationship based on fear will automatically fail. I agree with AugustLove, Spencer really shouldn’t have given Aiden the time of day, especially by speaking to him privately. Excellent update! Please post again soon…plus an update for Roommates would be greatly appreciated, as well! :)
That fag…ok…lol it was awsome that ash popped his ass like that cuz I’d so have done the same thing LOL of course spence’s mom is a bitch for pulling that shit, but this is definitely going places…PMS!!!!!!
