Bette and Tina walked into the house; Tina sat her car keys on the hook and then took of her jacket.
“Where’s your sister?” Bette asked Lisa
“Upstairs with Mason”
Bette took of her own jacket and then made her way up the stairs to Mason’s bedroom.
“This wasn’t part of the deal” Bette smiled
“huh what” Mason said confused
“You were supposed to do this on your own” Bette said folding her arms
“I did trust me all Jess did was sit on the bed and tell me where to put things” Mason stated
“Oh you liar” Jess laughed “I made you do an equal part”
Jess got up to leave the bedroom. She kissed Bette softly on the cheek before leaving.
Tina went into the kitchen to start on the dinner
“Hi Mum” Jess smiled kissing Tina on the cheek
“Hey sweetie” Tina smiled
Jess sat down at the table
“What you making?” Jess asked
“Well since it’s your first night home I figured I’d make your favourite, chicken stir-fry”
“Sounds amazing” Jess smiled
“Where’s Carmen?”
“At home I wanted a little time with Mason” Jess explained “Didn’t expect it to be tidying his bombsite though”
Tina laughed “Why don’t you tell Carmen to come over for dinner”
“You sure?”
“Course I am” Tina laughed “And if you think you’re staying at her’s tonight you can think again, we just got you home she can stay here”
Jess laughed “Your being silly now”
“I’m the parent your my child, that means technically I call the shots”
“Child?” Jess said confused
“You might be 21 honey but you’re still our child” Bette said coming into the kitchen
“You two must have lost the plot when I was away” jess said getting up “child…yep very good” Jess left the kitchen and walked through to her side of the house, She lifted her phone and sent a text to Carmen before lying on the sofa and turning on the TV.
Mason walked downstairs with his laundry basket. He walked into the laundry room and sat it down before going into the kitchen.
“Where’s Jess?” Mason asked
“Her side as far as I know” Tina told him “Have you did your homework?”
“yep just need you or Mama too look over it” Mason said leaving the kitchen and walking through to Jess’s side of the house. He sighed when he seen Jess asleep on her sofa, he turned walking back into the kitchen.
“She’s boring, she’s asleep on the sofa” Mason huffed “I thought she’d play guitar hero with me”
“Honey she’s just home you have plenty of time she isn’t going anywhere” Bette said
“Yeah that’s what you always say then boom she’s gone”
“I can assure you she’s not going anywhere” Tina said
“She’s obviously going to go back on tour duh?”
“Not for a while” Bette said sitting down beside her son
