Carmen ”Let me tell you how it looks from where I’m at.  It looks like either Al…or maybe Al and Dana…are fucking with you.  And you look heartbroken.  And it’s pissing me off.  Something happened, Lara.  I’ve been staying quiet on this out of respect, but…you’re like this now?  Fuck, I’m saying something.  You deserve better than this.”

Lara removes her hands from her face and looks at Carmen.

Lara ”Carmen…just leave me alone right now.  Please?  I’ve got too much to deal with.”

Carmen stands, walking toward the door.

Carmen ”I’m sorry.  I mistook you for someone I could talk to.  And I guess I just thought…you could talk to me.”

Lara ”There’s a lump on Dana’s breast.”

Carmen, now at the door looks back at Lara.

Lara ”I’ve got a lot on my mind right now.  I just wanna hear back from her.”

”She might be sick!” plays back in Carmen’s mind.

Carmen nods softly.

Carmen ”Okay.”

Lara ”Don’t…say…anything.”

Carmen ”…I’m not.”

Carmen is unsure how to react.  All she can do is exit.

The Planet.  Bisexual Speed Dating Night.

Alice and Helena are there.  Lara is also there, working.  Billie is there and in charge.  Kit and Angus are also there with Angus having just performed David Bowie’s ”Changes” to her.  Billie has just announced a break from the speed dating.  Lara and Alice see one another.

Lara ”…Hey, Alice.”

Alice ”Yeah…I know.  ’Alice is speed dating.’  I mean…at least I’m tryin’…that counts for something.  Right?”

Lara nods.  Her thoughts are weighing her down.  Alice can see it.

Alice ”…Is Dane okay?”

Lara looks down.

Alice ”Lara?”

Lara ”Did she tell you?”

Alice ”Lara…I don’t like that the way you just asked that…what’s up?”

There is an awkward silence that is broken up by Billie’s announcement that it is time to go back to the speed dating.  The two part ways.  Helena eventually departs.  Alice’s thoughts will eventually shift away from Dana and Lara to a lady named Uta.  She is a lesbian vampirologist and now has her full attention.

Shane, Carmen, and Mark’s apartment.

Mark is out for the evening.  Shane and Carmen have just arrived back home from their evening.  For Carmen, it is a chance to forget about earlier today.  There is always tomorrow.
