Bette had been home for seven days and to celebrate the weekend of her homecoming Alice wanted to have a block party and invite the whole neighborhood, but Tina was able to persuade Alice with a bride of ‘You can have that party next month’ to decrease the number to just the gang. Alice knew Tina was never going to allow her have a block party in Bette’s honor, but was happy to go along with the suggestion. Alice thought, ‘What you don’t know won’t hurt you’. Kit, Dana, Alice and Shane brought all the required amenities (namely food and beer) that would be necessary to decorate the upcoming festivities for tonight; a girl’s night to be filled with laughter, fun and heartfelt blessings. Bette watched her family from her perch on the couch and was constantly amazed with the unselfish love that was being bestowed upon her; for once she wasn’t complaining about being the center of attention. The evening’s events contained casual chit chat of memories of long forgotten pasts along with dreams for the future; playing childhood favorite board games and recreational cards that somehow contributed to Alice winning one hundred dollars to everyone’s disbelief; karaoke singing that was best left to the professionals and being a family again. Alice raised her glass and said in a slurred speech, “I propose a toast. Here is to our family being whole again, my winning a hundred dollars and to the lucky women who will be getting laid tonight by the available Shane as the rest of us are taken”. The ladies emptied their glasses. Tina thankfully said, “Welcome home baby” as she crawled onto the couch to join the love of her life.
“I have a question?” Alice asked in her slightly drunken state. “Did anyone notice that woman that went into Bette’s room?” Alice gazed at Bette and continued with “She looked just like you; only older”. Tina felt Bette’s change in demeanor and instantly knew that it was a topic that she didn’t want to discuss. What she didn’t understand was, ‘Why’. Bette shook her head no in response as she shared a knowing expression with Kit. “Not a clue Al. Maybe she was a nurse”. Alice was certain she wasn’t a nurse. This woman didn’t fit the pattern of earning money by hard labor; she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and more. “Doubt that very much Bette. She didn’t look the type”. Kit gazed at Alice and asked, “What type would that be?” Alice replied, “The type that gives you the willies with one piercing look, a horror movie that keeps coming back no matter how tightly you close the lid; the scary kind”. Alice didn’t know how close to the truth she was. Kit changed the direction of the conversation to focus on the one year anniversary newlyweds. “Dana, how is your wife treating you? Are you tired of her yet?” Dana smirked and confirmed, “She still has a few good years left in her”.

The length was just fine. :) I can see why Bette kept this a secret. Like she said, she wanted Tina to love her as Bette. Some people can’t see beyond a title, fame or wealth. I think Tina would’ve been star struck at first but she wouldn’t have cared if Bette was dirt poor. She would’ve loved her regardless. Plus, it’s not easy to believe a piece of news like, “Oh by the way I’m next in line to run my country. Can we have sex now?”
And miracles do happen…Yeh, thank you…and I agree with Succ1…no end in sight…I’m buckled and lov’n it!!!!

Wow, this story is still very intriquing. Bette as a Queen. Tina is as mad as a hornet’s nest, but I can understand Bette wanting Tina to love her for her and not the position. Does this mean that on the next flight to Bette’s country that we will find one Tina Kennard-Porter and a very handsome Kyle Kennard-Porter? Now that would piss off one mommy dearest. Yes you did great but now you have to post again. I do miss the dark/light angles hanging around though.
