Wings of An Angel – Bette and Tina – Chapter 10

Without a second thought, Regina climbed onto the bed straddling Bettes waist and with the assistance of Nurse Jones began CPR; Regina compressing on her chest and Nurse Jones squeezing the plastic pump to allow induced excess for air through Bettes mouth.  Move people.  We a have a life to save Antoine boomed as the only male nurse helped him to quickly wheel the bed from the examination area into surgery.  The medical team was pushing Bettes resting place through the sterile hallway running with the silent Angel of Life beside them.  In the forgotten back ground, the Dark Lord smiled.

Antoine eyed Regina and Nurse Jones as they continued to perform CPR.  Regina spoke his worst cause of fear, There is still no pause; the hallway never seemed so long before.  No matter how many times each doctor and nurse sped down the corridor, the light at the end of the tunnel took forever and on occasional unfortunate events wasnt able to travel the distance in time.  Bursting through the steel double doors of the awaiting surgery realm, Doctor Falcon was uniformed and ready to perform a miracle.  I thought you changed your mind Antoine.  I have been sitting here for the past three minutes twiddling my thumbs.  Antoine sarcastically responds with, Rebecca, always a pleasure not to see you.  Rolling her eyes to the ceiling, Nice to know you havent changed.  Let me handle the procedure while you clean up.  Nurse Jones broke into the conversation by stating, We still dont a pulse.

Hamilton Harbor Construction Site – Seven Hours Prior To Rescue

The overwhelming mortal enlightenment of what happened was just too unbelievable to assimilate.  The pressure pounding headache within Mikes head prevented him from concentrating on what was being said by John; the lips were moving, but no sound could be heard.  Mike watched in stunned silence as the crew scrambled around the office collecting the necessary survival gear to perform a search and rescue mission to find Bette and the little boy as soon as possible.  Johns mouth continued to move in swift fashion relaying the course of action to be taken from start to finish.  There was not a single person in the center who didnt know what their role was in this life shattering adventure; two vital lives desperately depending on their quick movements.  Stringing his hands through his two toned silver black hair, Mike snapped out of his heart pulsating trance long enough to voice this thoughts.  John.  You are not making any kind of sense.  How on earth could a child have gotten through security, on the premises, without our knowledge?  Why in Gods name would you allow Bette to go after him without checking with me first?

    1. I actually have to agree with slipperynipple. I like this story and love how you don’t just rush through things (unlike IC & Co. since they only have a maximum of 60 minutes a week to play with), but I actually had to keep stopping while reading this so I wouldn’t wear myself out. Introducing the supernatural was a good idea seeing as it would take a miracle for someone to come out of an incident like that alive.

    2. I found your story today and spent my afternoon reading it. This is intriguing me. The thing I am most curious about is the little boy, something is weird with that situation. I am wondering if this is going to be an adventure like the movie “What dreams may come.” Will we find the little boy helping Tina face the Angel of Death? This story is also reminding me of Stephen king’s book “Rose Madder.” Although I really enjoy this story and your writing is great I would have to agree with slipperynipple about the length in certain parts. It can take away from the story. other than that I am enjoying it, please continue!

    3. Cool! I seem to be drifting into the dark side of the world lately. The fight between Tina and the Dark Lord was intriguing. The Angel of Life just seemed to stand their and let Tina fight for Bette. The only time that you saw it or it was mentioned was when they were running down the hall and that Angel was running beside Bette. It will take all that Tina can give to Bette to keep her alive. Please post soon.

    4. Good to see you back Leo and this is good chapter. When Tina talk to the Angel of Death is scary, ok glad Bette ok now and hope she will wake up soon. OK post soon please, thanks!

    5. Leo, god damn – you have been gone so long and then you give us the chapter from hell :o)……holy christ this was intense leo – absolutely amazing. Pleas do continue – We so want more, but please not so much drama on the next one eventhought we love it :o) Post soon

    6. Well, so you disappear and then out of nowhere….BANG, after that chapter you once again have our attention…pls don’t ever go away that long again….I will assume that you are busy writing the next, and the next, and the next chapters….as you owe us big time….almost forgot….THANKYOU

    7. Ya know this will be the first time I will write this. The story is good but this was too much. I think I skipped to the ending. The middle took to long and took me along a path I was not very interested in. But believe me this does not mean that the story did not have the desired affect but sometimes less is more. Could of done without some of the death part and the construction site part. Thanks for the story

    8. Three months and thirteen days……..three months and thirteen days is how long you had a woman waiting…(its this how you threat your women)…….LE0, three months and thirteen days………..BUT it was worth the wait………….This chapter by far is your best……The struggle that Tina is going through to keep Bette where she belongs is heart felt…………The fight that she has with the Angel of Death clearly shows how in love she is with Bette and how far she will go to keep her…………..Now PLEASE let Tina win this fight so we can find out the mystery about Bette and Kit………..WE want a happy ending………Now I’ll only waiting THREE HOURS AND THIRTEEN MINUTES this time…………Please continue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    9. Leo, welcome back although it’s been WAY TOO LONG. What an ambitious and complex chapter, thank you! If you ever feel another writer’s block coming on consider writing a simpler 1 or 2 pager to keep the creative juices flowing and keep in touch with your readers.
