    Window of Opportunity ch. 45

I prayed that Tina’s fears about my reaction were only that she was afraid that her having her things brought over without us talking about it could be upsetting. I hoped she was not having doubts. In all our conversations, I couldn’t imagine her thinking that I didn’t want this. There is nothing else in the world that I want more than to have our family back together… living, loving and laughing under one roof. I was so overwhelmed that I just stood there still holding the bags when she came out holding a tray. I assumed that it may have some wine on it but didn’t really look and by the look on my face, she put the tray down, took the bags out of my hands, wiped the tears from my cheeks and held me. She explained that she and Alice had arranged everything and while in Vegas, Alice was responsible for making sure the movers were able to move everything. Makes more sense now why Alice did not return my phone call from the other day.

I finally snapped back into some sort of reality when Tina asked me if it was ok that she had taken this upon herself. I assured her that this was more than ok. I was so happy to have her and Angie back. Happy actually was not adequate to describe how I felt. It was as if my life again was meaningful and I was going to be able to fully live it like I was supposed to. Being a family was happening.

Tina must be trying to push me into the psych ward. Just as I was ok, she picked up a rose off the tray and described it as representing our past. Her words were so beautiful and heartfelt that the tears that I had contained started spilling out of my eyes again. She handed me the rose and kissed me. I wanted at that moment to take her hand and pull her into the bedroom. She had my heart completely.

The second rose that she picked up, she explained to me signified the present and our present was one of absolute joy. Our beginning as a family begins tonight with her and Angie moving back in and we had the ability daily to make it what we wanted to make it. It was all in our hands to dictate the direction of our lives. Her words again were just beautiful. She left me emotionally unable to comprehend any longer as I tried to wrap my mind around her words. She too handed me the second rose and I tightly clutched it.

    1. What an amazing chapter! So many beautiful moments…And so many remarkable spots to speak of…But I’ll restrain myself…My favorite line, I think, was: “I want to know what she’s feeling and what she’s thinking.” To me, that’s a picture of love…wanting to embrace the all of it. Forgiveness is a truly marvelous thing. Not sure I’m making any sense…but…Wonderfully deep storytelling. Thanks, nagster :)

    2. What a wonderful chapter Newage. Having them loving one another so deeply after everything they’ve been through is truly wonderful. Now let’s see what the parents will do, although I think they have learned their lesson and will not be able to find enough ways to be nice and sweet to everyone and besides Angie will talk their heads off after she gets used to them, about a day probably. PPS

    3. Everything you wrote was so beautiful. The whole chapter was awesome. Love Angie Pink hat. Shane was so funny, saying that Angie was just like Alice. Motor mouth. thanks so much for posting

    4. So much is left to our interpretation on the show between B&T. Your writing gives us the reunion story that should have been told! Great chapter!

    5. What a very Wonderful story ! Love the line: ” She was a woman possessed and since I kept up with her, I must have been too …” LOL makes me giggle!

    6. Yes!!! Glad Bette managed to mumble that word out after recovering from her state of shock. It’s the only apt respone to Tina’s heartfelt proposal. Sooo happy for these two. Loved the gleam in Tina’s eyes when she looked around Dean Porter’s office. I have a feeling they’ll eventually do the deed there; it’s only a matter of time. *wink* If they can make it at the backseat of a cab, they can certainly make it anywhere! Loved the adorable motormouth Angie who must have gotten that trait from Alice through osmosis. Is this the calm before the probable awkward, stormy visit of Tina’s folks? Let’s see how that reunion will play out. Btw, I hope you’re not done with the envelopes yet. There’s so much more about their storied past that I want to find out like when did they decide to live together? What and where was their first love nest? How and when did they decide to have a family? What about their commitment ceremony? Just throwing some ideas. :> Thanks for a truly enjoyable chapter, newagegirl! PPS :>
