                                                        Love,
                                                        Tina Kennard

Bette folded the letter and held that and the flower to her heart. She couldn’t control the hot streams of tears that poured down her cheeks. She was sorry. She never meant to run Tina away. She was just angry and she needed sometime to herself. Just then she jumped up in went in to the bathroom. She showered and changed, before taking off down the stairs. Kit jumped when she heard the ruckus.

Kit: (Concerned) “What happened?” She took her aprin off and tossed it to the side.

Bette: “Do you have any money? I need like twenty dollars” She began putting her jacket on. Kit rushed over and grabbed her purse.

Kit: “What happened?” She was looking at Bette like she was crazy.

    Bette: “Tina’s in San Diego.”

    Kit: “What? She left?”

Bette: “Yeah, she left this morning I believe. She said something about being there for the rest of the summer. I can’t wait that long. I need to see her now.” She took the twenty from her sister. “Thanks…” She approached the door.

Kit: “Whoa! Whoa! Hold on. Do you even know where San Diego is?”

Bette: “Yeah. It’s south of here.” She opened the door. Just then-Shane stepped inside.

    Shane: “Hey Kit…” She waved.

Kit: “Hey baby. Baby sis, you don’t know the buses and the trains. How do you expect to get there?” Bette smiled and looked at Shane.”You’re kidding.”

Bette: “Nope…” She walked over and kissed her sister on the cheek. “I have to go. If we leave now we should be able to catch her as soon as she pulls up. You got the car, right?”

Shane: “Yeah. It’s outside.” She saw that Kit needed to talk to Bette. “I’ll be outside waiting in the car.”

Bette: (Smiles) “Okay. I’m coming.” She closed the kitchen door. “What’s wrong Kit?”

Kit: “Nothing…” She looked away. “Okay, well, I’m worried about you. Are you sure you’re going to be okay with traveling down there all by yourself?

Bette: “Yes Kit. I survived in a foster home all by myself and I made out just fine. Where’s your faith Kit?”

Kit: (Surprised) “I have faith Bette. I’m just worried about you. What if something goes wrong?”

Bette: “It won’t, okay. Relax.” She embraced her sister. “I’ll call you as soon as I get there.”

    1. Way to go Bette. You go and get your woman. I hope that Tina realizes how much that Bette cares for her. Bette has been so sheltered that she needs for Tina to step in and help her out instead of running. Now, unblock those words from your brain and place them on the paper.

    2. You did not just stop it there. Don’t give us you ran out of things to write. Come on, get those fingers moving,(on the keyboard), and get back to us with another chapter.

    3. Ran out of things to write, my butt! LOL So Bette was blasting Brandy? If I wanted to blast music it would be something fast and loud, not Brandy. lol

    4. Lamentamini-you are so crazy girl…lol. And for your information I did run out of something to write. I swear. I’m trying to think of how will I bring Tina in here. I’m still deciding, but I won’t disappoint you if that’s what you’re thinking. No way. Thanks for your comment.

    5. LMAO! Great CFTW! that took a lot of guts for Bette to do, ring the bell… Tina has to stop running away from her problems but hey, at least this ‘problem’is following her around LMAO
