Two weeks have gone by since their Monday lunch, the girls continued to have lunch together almost everyday and on Wednesday they spent some time together after work since the kids were not home till 7:00.  They were taking things slow, mostly because Bette was wary of getting into a relationship and bringing someone into the kid’s lives right now. Tina understood but it was getting hard, she was really falling for Bette and not spending nights and more time with her was starting to get on her nerves.  But this weekend the kids were going to with Mel so Bette and Tina were planning on spending a lot of time together.

-Friday night, Bette’s house, 5:30-

Bette was getting the kids ready for the weekend away. She just got done packing Lauren and Zach’s bags and sat down on the couch to hang out with them for a bit before they had to go.  
Bette: “anything else you guys need?”
Zach: “did you pack my DS?”
Bette: “yep”
Zach: “ok, thanks.”
Bette: “your welcome, how about you Munchkin?”
Lauren: “nope” she moved over to sit on Bette’s lap facing her “Aunt Bette what are you going to do when we are gone?”
Bette: “Well I’m going to do some work for school, clean the house, and spend some time with Tina”
Lauren: “Oh I want to see Tina too! Can you come get me when you see her? Please!”
Bette: “not this time, but maybe she can come over sometime next week and hang out with us, How’s that?”
Lauren: “I guess, but what are you guys going to do?”
Bette: “I don’t know yet, but nothing fun, we will wait for you to do that!”
Lauren: “ok good”
Emily: coming into the room “Aunt Bette, are you doing wash this weekend?”
Bette: “yea”
Emily: “Can you wash my softball stuff? I have a game on Monday”
Bette: “sure, just put it in the laundry room”
Emily: “I did, thanks. So you are hanging out with Tina this weekend?”
Bette: smiling “yes, why?”
Emily: “Just wondering. I like her.”
Bette: “me too.” Just then the doorbell rang “ok time to go, come on Munchkin” Bette stood up carrying Lauren, Zach ran to open the door and Emily grabbed their bags.  
Zach: giving Bette a hug “Bye”
Bette: “bye, be good” then she gave Emily a hug “bye, call me if you need anything, love you”
Emily: “yep, love you”
Bette: picking up Lauren “Ok Lulu, I’ll see you in two days ok. Love you and be good.” Lauren held on tight to Bette, when Bette pulled her back to look at her Lauren had tears in her eyes just like every time she had to leave for the weekend. “It’s ok Lulu, I’ll see you in a two days and you can call me every night to say goodnight.  I love you ok?”
Lauren: trying not to cry, “ok, I love you. Sunday?”
Bette: “yep Sunday. Bye”

Bette put her down and Lauren took hold of Emily’s hand, turning around one more time to wave at Bette before she left the house. Bette closed the door and leaned up against it.

Bette: to herself  “is that ever going to get easier?” sighed and pushed herself away from the door, she walked down the hallway to her room to get ready for her date in an hour.  Tina was taking Bette out, and all she knew was that she needed to be ready to go at 7:00; the rest was all Tina’s surprise.  At 7:00 sharp, the doorbell rang and Bette ran to answer while putting on her earrings. She opened the door and was speechless. Tina was dressed in a simple little black dress that showed off her every curve and made it imposable not to stare at the gorgeous blonde. Tina smiled as she watched Bette look her over and seeing that she was impressed, realizing that Bette was not about move or speak Tina took a step in and placed a kiss on Bette’s lips.

Tina: “Like my dress?” walking into the house
Bette: turning around and closing the door “you look amazing T”
Tina: “thanks you don’t look to bad yourself, are you ready to go?”
Bette: “maybe, where are we going?”
Tina: “Nope sorry Bette I can’t tell you that”
Bette: moved closer to Tina and slid her hands around waist while kissing along her jaw line to her lips “mmm.. Please tell me baby, I just want to be sure I’m properly dressed”
Tina: trying hard to keep her composure “Bette Porter are you trying to seduce the answer out of me?”
Bette: “I don’t know is it working?”
Tina: “No, lets go or we are going to be late” taking her hand and walking to the door
Bette: “late where?”
Tina: “to where we are going”
Bette: pouting “hmp…. you are no fun”
Tina: “oh don’t worry babe there with be fun involved.”
